Hey, thanks a million for that. Now could you make a PvP hit cap sheet for all of us lazy dudes out there? :D

Discussions on elitistjerks.com suggest that the base miss rate for yellows versus bosses is 8% and not 9% as in tBC. That would alter the yellow hitcap a bit.

i dont read all comments but in next patch TG will have no hit penalty so you can maybe change it for next patch
and i vote for sticky, every player who is here for first time always ask for this numbers, this will help to prevent it
edit: you should write here numbers like 1defense = 5 defense rating, how much dodge rating is 1% dodge, str is 2 AP and 2 STR i 1 BV, do it complete and it will be great

Question about Precision, without going into a lot of detail, I need to drop some hit rating and removing this talent from my build seems to be my best option atm. Is there anything I may have overlooked that would make this a bad idea provided I remain capped for specials?
As for the change to TG, do we simply use the numbers for non-TG listed above, meaning instead of the current 361 it becomes 197 with Precision and 295 without?
Also a question from a line in Arideni's warrior faq (don't see the need for a seperate post there, sorry), in it he said: "295 required for L83 creatures; Precision is worth 98 rating & is not included on the Character Sheet". The line about it not being included on the character sheet has me confused a bit, does this mean that if mine were to say 197 hit rating before filling in talent points, and I talented 3/3 Precision it would still say 197? Or would that change, but the percentage wouldn't?
TL;DR version:
Can I drop Precision if I have the exra 98 rating from gear?
After Titans Grip is changed is the DW non-TG cap (197 w/Precision, 295 w/o) the goal?

yes, it will be like normal dual-wield, but only after patch so now you need that bigger number :(

You need to put the PvP Hit caps on this list Pyroshen.
PvP 2Hander
PvP Titans Grip
PvP 1Hander + Shield
(Also include with/without precision)
Just had a Mortal Strike "miss" a priest in SotA today so I need to know the PvP hit caps.

Fakir, i was just about to ask you for the link but i found it invisible when i tried to quote you,
http://elitistjerks.com/f31/t37856-melee_hit_cap_really_9_a/#post997156
When using the url feature in the chat you have to put a word inbetween the and boxes or else it will be invisible!
The forum has interesting discussion about changes in hit tables, but for now i'll stick with 9%
Hi, again.
After investigations by several players it is now considered prooved that the hit cap for yellows has been lowered to 8% in WotLK from 9% in tBC.

Pyro, I read that full thread you linked and I think I'm more confused that I was before regarding when diminishing returns kick in :S I believe (could have read it somewhere, heard it, or made it up) that pre-Wrath 18% was the desired cap for Dodge/Parry/Block, what I"m looking for is the compareable number for Wrath, I've seen 20% mentioned which seems logical but could use some guidance.
Oh and I am very math handicapped, not so much interested in the formulas that convert def to the stats etc. as the raw % I should be gunning for, I know I'm currenlty low but not sure by how much.
Thank you in advance

Not sure if it's here or not, but It would also be nice to post the values at which you start to face diminishing returns on Dodge and Parry.
I'm not sure but I think I recall reading that Everything's fine and dandy till you get to about 20~22.5% on either of them, that stacking those stats becomes less desirable than other stats you could focus on.
Tankspot explains it better than i ever could.

This is the link I was referring to
