It doesn't bother me at all. Does it mean that new players may have less of an appreciation for "the old days" when we had to walk to school in six feet of snow, uphill, both ways? Probably. I don't feel as though what I have earned has been devalued, though. Times change. We need to change with them or be overrun.

If it annoys you, I suggest the parable of the Prodigal Son may be worth reading. If Christian literature turns you off, perhaps the Vinegar Tasting from Taoist/Confucian lore will impart the same virtue. ^_~
New players are what keeps an MMO alive, no amount of hardcore veterans can sustain a game (RE: Everquest) if it becomes too hard for new players to join or play 'catch-up'.
