[Twink] Level 1 with 450/450 Mining/Skinning

to quote myself from another thread: I don't think that's true that you can learn mining all the way to 450 by smelting, there's a 3 point gap between smelt silver and smelt iron, a 10 point gap in iron and gold, 28 in mithril and truesilver, and since it's impossible for you to get dark iron, an 8 point gap in truesilver and thorium, another 30 points from thorium to fel iron, 18 from fel iron to adamantite, and you'll peak out at cobalt at 362.
And skinning is impossible to do too, since Northrend zones actually do give experience for discovery, and quite a bit too.

I think it's possible, get ported by a mage to a capital city, have your friends kite the appropriate mobs to the entrance, and skin them.

I don't think you'll be able to kite low level mobs to the city without them evading, being slaughtered by the guards, or being killed by the kiter. Even if you do manage to do so which city were you planning to kite heavy leather into? You'll need to find a supply of increasingly higher level mobs to increase skinning and those just aren't available anywhere you can avoid exploration experience.
As blademeld pointed out you also cannot skill up mining purely through smelting.
Herbalism is also out as you'll be forced to gain more than a level worth of exploration experience to gather enough herbs. At the high end even discovering a single subzone will give more than enough experience to take you well past level 2.

You can get 10 x 5 = 50 skinning in your starting area alone, and then you'll need level 15 mobs, which is 2 zones ahead of your level, seeing as how Gamon, a level 12, was kited from Orgrimmar to AQ, I think it's rather possible over a shorter distance as long as you avoid the city guards. (meaning that kiting has to occur outside of the pathways)

The exploration xp page on WoWiki (
HERE
) states that you get less xp for exploring zones more than five levels above your character level.
If the formula given is correct then you would get no experience at all for exploring areas 25 levels or more above your level.
This could give you access to the things you need (thorium veins, etc.) without gaining any xp.
Not something I have tested though, can anyone confirm the info on WoWWiki?

As an interesting aside, unless Blizzard has fixed it, Toughness rank 3 gives the most health due to a bug giving 70 stamina instead of 70 health, so you just need to get your mining to 225 and enjoy 700 extra health ^^

OP HERE WITH SOME NEW INFORMATION.
Some facts to consider:
1. Skinning is probably the most doable, but the longest, you
CAN
kite mobs to major cities (Shattrath and Dalaran do
NOT
give XP for discovery at level 1. I can confirm this.)
2. Herbalism will give you a mere 165 XP for 450. You can get to 75 in Durotar, to 150 in Ashenvale (55 XP), then 2 more areas (110XP). 375 and 450 do
NOT
give XP because
SEVERAL
Outland and Northrend areas do
NOT
give XP at level 1.
3. Mining
CAN
be achieved to a certain point with smelting, and
Dark Iron Ore is NOT BoP
, so you can transfer it to your level 1 for smelting. Along with summons to some Outland/Northrend areas that don't give XP, 450 is highly doable.

No one said anything about DI being BoP, just that you need to get into BRD, which has a level limit of 40+

Why would you go into BRD when you can mine it in Searing Gorge until you can mine Fel Iron? It's been mineable in Searing Gorge...

Just mine it...
No one said you need to smelt it.
Mine it from 290 to 300 then learn the next smelt.
DURR HURR.

You didn't say you had to, but you implied that that was the route that you were goint to use.
