I just started playing again to get ready for the expansion, and with the achievements for quests done in each zone I can see where I missed quests. I'm going through and doing them extremely fast, I'm geared with stuff prior to 5 man heroics. I've made 400+ gold today, and I'm not done yet, all I've paid for is a few quivers of arrows and a few respecs to figure out the new talents.
Hopefully by the time the expansion gets here I'll have gone through most of the outlands quests and gotten the $ from them, will they go back to giving experience with the expansion? My plan is to get ahead of the pack in the beginning so I don't have to deal with all the people, but I'll have to wait and see how well that works.

Steam, we'll start LK with no rested bonus, no one will have it. You can have 30 'bubbles' of rested when you're at max (you get 1 bubble per 8 hours), so 1.5 levels of rested.

neither have i, im planning to complette 25 quests in SMV and then hand them in as soon as WotLK goes live then do another 10-25 quests and get to 70 and a half or so. also some questions:
if leave my character logged out in an inn even tho he is 70 does he gain "rested" status?
and does that go away when i kill mobs even tho i gain no experience.
also is there a limit to the amount of rested you can have?
cuz ive been logged out in a inn for the past month cuz i ran out of game time :S
You will not gain rested XP until you purchase the expansion, the game will not allow your level to go beyond 70 without the expansion so there is nothing to gain rested xp in. The max rested you can gain is I believe a 1.5 levels, provided you have that many levels of room before the cap to gain rested in.

Yes, quests go back to giving XP. Example, the Isle of Queldanas gives 3.4 gold and a tad under 10k experience per quest, there's 12 dailies there. You can do the other 6 SSO dailies from Shatt, and then fill the other 7 with the Blades Edge/skettis/pvp/netherwing/whatever dailies.

My character on the beta does the dailies just fine and gets XP, and they're blue !'s.

So how much exp could you get from just doing dailies each day? Does it give exp based on level or is it the same after 70?

I heard that there gonna nerf all level 70 quests at the expansion so even if you do save some quests for exp it will not be much compared to what the Northrend quests will give you.
I have no clue if it is true or not, that is just what i have heard.

You left out the most important bullet point:
Northrend - Superior Gear
You should be sprinting to Northrend the moment you hit level 68.
This.
