Hello people...
I am using an addon named "SpartanUI" made by Anzu. The addon makes you user interface completely redesigned, so it will look alot different. It makes your UI look more clean, simple, gives more space, pretty etc., and that is why I like it.
I have looked on many different addons, trying to look for the one I need, but I can never find one that can make my UI as I want it. I might find one there, another there and then a third over here I like, but then the UI becomes messed up and look weird because of all the different addons looks. Then I found SpartanUI, which is just what was needed. One addon making comepletely new UI.
This is SpartanUI:

What do you think is important for a UI? (space, look etc.)
What do you think about SpartanUI?

This post seems to be a sneaky advertisement for SpartanUI. Nobody would ever have their add-ons as bad as you perceive in the first link, seems exaggerated.
It is not a advisement, but just showing my piece of art xD, but actually SpartanUI can be irritating because of space for chat box. I have moved 2 action bars, so i could make my chat channel be somewhere in SpartanUI, and then you have to make them smaller, and then you almost need to wear superglasses to see what it written. Thats a big problem and hard to configure, so not a advisement, but just something a like to use.

This is a normal UI with different addons:

If this is a normal UI for you, then quit eating the lead paint. It doesn't take a genius to tell you that's absolutely atrocious.
And comparing the two is totally unfair. Next to that, yeah, Spartan looks beautiful. On its own, it can stand to be drastically improved; it's overdone in many areas, and underdone in other areas, and lacks general cleanliness.
I see what you mean, so I have deleted the other UI. It might not quite be a typical UI, but kinda close xD Sorry.

I can't really judge the UI until you get to see party frames, raid frames, as well as other important mods (eg DBM bars)
I will say that the chat windows are much too small for my liking.

Don't really like it, too ''fixed'' for my taste, and the style sorta reminds me of the default UI, so meh.

What on the worse UIs I've seen. Ugly, inefficient, not very configurable.

The UI frankly looks half-ass done. The guy that made it seems to have ok artistic skills and bad aesthetic skills. Kinda an odd combination really.
The chat and buttons in general look like a mess. They both need better containment and better fonts.

then you missed the purpose of SpartanUI. It was intended to be an all inclusive 1 stop shop for an interface. simply to replace the default interface. It was not made to be customizable. It says this right on the home page.
I do not use it. I tried it out for a couple of days. Its for some people but not for all. I like the design, the layout, the addons that are included.
It has some bugs however. You cannot move bars or hide bars altogether. They will reset when your interface reloads. But again... SUI wasnt created to be customizable. The one thing that they really need to change, whether its customizable or not, is the chat box. It just doesnt fit. Period.
If they fixed some of the bugs and fixed the chat box I would probably use it. However, Ive finally gotten my own screen streamlined to how i like it now so who knows.
No custom UI, blizz default, just my addons and action bars arranged in a clean neat manner.

Not only is it meant to replace the default UI - it IS a default UI. I really don't understand why do people put more value to it than just about every other compilation including Blizzard's - there simply isn't. In fact, Blizzard's is one of, if not the most configurable compilation out there, and it certainly doesn't suffer from inconsistent placement and theme of its elements.
Also, never use a compilation just because it looks good, symmethrical, with great art or any other aesthetic reason. You could put a picture of a black hole in the center of my screen because it looks good - but is it really a smart thing to do? Interface is the tool you use to interact with the game and vice versa. If that tool is inefficient, you'll have a very hard time playing. That's why its good to build your own interface - it might not be a masterpiece, but you'll know exactly the extend of what it could do. You won't be sitting there wondering which of the pretty textured buttons to click in order to display something...
Efficiency and beauty - now that's what I call a perfect balance... too bad the exact value is different for every player.

I tried Spartan and didn't like it - it lacks many essential things (which isn't a pain in the ass though, I can always add some addons myself) and its has zero configurability (lol, is there such word? :) which is a huge disadvantage - I like to customize things myself.
It is very pretty though, and has potential.

it looks nice, but the actions icons are small.

In every case, SpartanUI caused my Wow to lock up. Tried it on two different computers with the same result. Ended up removing it.
