As an aside that I will admit relates to the posts here:
I think a lot of people just haven't really had the opportunity to group with
good
Druid tanks. My server is mostly used to it by now, for whatever reason, but I still find groups where people are iffy about it and I get to turn their opinions around.
If nothing else (though, there certainly is something else), I always heal party members between pulls when they're left below full or heal warlocks who lifetap between pulls. Most times I don't need my mana for anything while tanking and it regenerates to full while the next pull is burned through, so why not? It speeds up the whole process, for sure.

@mrmunkles & Bandir
For sure, Druids have to work harder on some specifics. I'm using nearly the best blues I can get to be crit immune from a combination of Defense and Resilience (mostly Defense for all the other perks), have up to 15k health if I can get Kings & Fort and come close to 25k armor now, also with buffs.
Believe me, I'm certainly a cheerleader for Warriors. They have some amazing abilities that I'm quite jealous of as a Druid, kind of like all the ridiculous stuff Rogues can do with their energy.
There needs to be some understanding of what you are capable of with your current gear.
Amen. I try to stay conservative and be sure of what I'm capable before I put a group of people into a time-wasting situation. As the tank, it's my job to not only know all of the bosses of the instance I'm in, but to also know each pull and the intricacies of the instance geometry and what it affords me as far as that goes. I also need to know enough about each class to be able to know what to ask for and what to watch for. I think any tank that doesn't know its own abilities and know the set and setting is most certainly set up for failure one way or another.
I wish pally tanks got a bit more recognition.
Me too. I've only had maybe 2 or 3 instance groups tanked by a paladin since TBC came out (granted, I
am
a tank so it's less likely I'm going to ... though I do take DPS positions sometimes when what I need doesn't require me to be tanking in order for my conscience to let me roll on it). Each time, though, I have been pleasantly surprised. Even with a ton of mobs banging on a tank, if the rest of the group is scattered and the Paladin needs time without healing, he can (talents depending) just switch to Concentration and heal himself without fear for interruption. It's a pretty amazing thing to watch, actually. I definitely chuckled when I saw that for the first time.

lol yeah I did, but the thing is I wasn't forced to heal like most people are
I just had the gear for it and offered to do it one time and I loved it.
Yeah, amusingly enough (though, not surprisingly), I healed a lot while leveling my Druid. Not surprising because I started him before a lot of the changes. I really do enjoy healing and I think that anyone who is bored with healing as ____ should try healing as a Druid. It's a totally different game.
Granted, though ... Lifebloom, Swiftmend, etc. have made it a lot less of a task than it used to be. Imagine healing without those! I always said, if you can heal as a Druid, you can heal as anything. Whenever I switched over to my Priest I was always blown away with how much easier it was. Oh well ... just cuz I had it hard doesn't mean I should wish it on everyone else :).
