It's almost as if it's not real.

Technically, Pandaria was originally to the far west of Kalimdor(at least in the World of Warcraft RPG series), but obviously it's since moved to the south...somehow. But even in the RPG series, the continent was hidden away.

Actually, in the Algalon the Observer encounter in Ulduar, we see a 3D model of Azeroth, and it shows that EK is on one side, and Kalimdor is on the other side, so there is no other side, because it is all filled up.

Maybe that was actually the Wandering Isle - or the Pandaren intentionally spread that misinformation.

Eh the RPG books, while not canon, described a lot of stuff we see in Mists. I think Blizzard just decided to make a compass style thing.

Just go and visit Lordanel. They have a globe of Azeroth on their reception desk.

They have flying creatures, fleets of boats, aircraft, freakin' MAGIC, and they still cant survey the globe properly?
Then again, there is still a lot of forest and jungle left unexplored on Earth as well, so I can't complain too loudly. But still!

Outland was an even smaller planet, possibly a moon to a larger one.
First of all, Outland is not a planet Draenor is. Second, this planet was bigger than Azeroth.
Regarding "the other side", ISIG already answered that.

This was a done as a project by a student once. He determined that Azeroth as a planet would be about a quarter the size of our earth. A very tiny planet. Outland was an even smaller planet, possibly a moon to a larger one.
That's no small moon.

All that is known is that the Forbidden Sea and the Veiled Sea eventually "merge" at some point. Everything else about them is up for debate.

For the record, the "maps" people have been referring to are globes created by the Titans.
You know, the pan-galactic creator species...

It's funny how some people are so sure of themselves. It's like they work for Blizzard and know what new lore will and won't introduce in the future.
