Anytime I have tanked and I see them passing my threat on omen i warn them once and tell them to hold back on there threat.
If they continue to go over my threat i stop what im doing and let them pull aggro and die.
Then when they say "wtf noob?" I reply. "I assumed you wanted to tank since you wanted to generate more threat then me. Now why dont you accept my rez and leave the tanking to those who know what they are doing."
Great way to educate those PUG dpsers who don't have omen nor they can manage their threat.
I will do what you did myself, i think it can make my Tanking experience better =)

Im a healbot myself, and if the dps take aggro on trash i tend to toss them a heal and see if it was an accident, however if they continually take aggro (or seems like their purposly trying) i just let them die and rez after fight, easier for me and tank, especially since i typically on group with certain tanks, i know its not an issue of sucky tanking. They bish about it, but they tend to learn fast that im not gonna waste mana on them if they cant manage their aggro

healer aggro is not always a tanking issue, I learned that a long time ago. Some healers heal too early and when that happens, the tank hasn't been able to establish any threat. If the healer waits only a moment due to threat issues, then the tank dies faster than he can get off his first heal, then it might be that the takn is too squishy.
Example...I had a priest putting heals on me and was severly over healing one run. She was using her biggest heal and I only required about half the health the heal gave me. Second, a druid who puts lifebloom up before the pull actually happens. Unfortuantely, I learned, on my druid, the first heal usually has to be a regrowth, THEN stack up lifeblooms.
Overhealing doesn't cause any aggro. Only the value actually healed counts. Futhermore, healing aggro is distributed between all the mobs present. So a good tank should never loose aggro to an early healing healer.
If the tank takes massive damage on the initial pull, then he might be pulling wrong or severely undergeared.
Stacking up lifeblooms before the pull can work. The bloom component (letting it run out) generates threat that is attributed to the tank, not the healer.
My point was not about "over healing", it was more about early healing. Tank takes 200 damage and barely establishes any threat, healer throws a heal on tank for 1500, healer now has more threat than tank for X and square. The heal came too fast before it was needed, which can be defined as overhealing also.
Let me go into kara with you, or even a 5 man, stack up my lifeblooms on you, then let you pull and see what happens when you are pulling 3 mobs. Next, let's go into kara, pull a table in Moroe's room, then see how many run after me, even though you might be "over geared" or not taking damage. Fact of the matter is, I am healing when it's not necessary.
For pallies, this isn't as big of a problem, but try tanking with a warrior or epsecially a druid at end game and you will see the problem is becomes.

My main's a prot paly, but i have many alts, included a dps and a healer.
As a tank you need to 1. hold ago 2. stay alive.
As a dps you need to 1. dps the mobs 2. don't pull from the tank.
As a healer you 1. heal the tank 2. heal everyone else.
Its not hard, you SHOULD all have omen. If ya hit 90% of the tanks threat the freaken screen flashes red, and there is a huge warning. Dps can never pull off the tank.
During a endgame raid the tank usually won't make as much threat as the dps, and they have to hold back. What dps usualy needs to do is stop rolling their face across their keyboard and look at the nice graph with moving bars that show how close they are to dieing.
Yes i know im hard on my dps, cause i know i can tank and i always grab a good healer. Sometimes i pub 1-2 dps, and theres were the fun comes in.
EDIT: Almost forgot if your healer is srly taking threat from you in a 5man, you might need to get a little help their. If its a paly healer make sure they don't have righteous fury up plz.

I understand the Tank Hate, or atleast Tank Disrespect.
My pally is 21 right now, and I absolutely love prot spec. At level 19 I was running WC with a 21 mage, 19 priest, 20 hunter, and 21 warrior. It was an absolute living hell.
I had two simple marks: Skull means kill, Moon means Polymorph. My group decided to start killing the unmarked mob first even after the 10th time explaining it to them. The mage would polymorph the moon, then IMMEDIATELY proceed to Pyroblast it and start killing it. This mage by the way, used Pyroblast nonstop the entire instance, even using it to pull while we were drinking. The Warrior thought she was a tank and was using taunt and thunderclap constantly to fight me for aggro. The hunter had permagrowl on her pet and wouldn't take it off no matter how many times I asked her.
Over all, it was a completely agonizing experience, having to constantly fight three people. We didn't necessarily wipe because I busted my ass BoP'ng and using Righteous Defense like there's no tomorrow, but it was still very annoying. Does this only last until the later levels where aggro becomes more important?
This my friend gose on with PUGs as long as there are mobs who 1 shoot the dps/aggroboyz... THAN maybe they will stop... :D
Above tehre is a healer post who say he stop healing dps who countinously pull agro.. that can stop tehm.
My experience if they don't stop doing it after the first maybe teh second warning they will never do it...
But guys don't forget , there are bad Tanks also.. it is not always the DPS's fault...

If its a paly healer make sure they don't have righteous fury up plz.
I think it has already been established within this thread.
Paladin healers, with Improved Righteous Fury, generate less threat per hit point healed than any other healers before talents, which are not taken by all healers, only a smudge more than the other healers after talents.
