You should be fine tanking the easier heroics with a competent healer who isn't looking for ez-mode. Try running Slave Pens or Mechanar. You only need 485 def for heroics. Defense increases your Dodge/Parry/Miss, whereas resilience does not. You should be able to offtank in Kara, assuming your healers are higher on the gear-curve than you are.
Keep in mind, you will have a hard time finding groups for heroics or kara if you are pugging it, because people are usually looking for way overgeared tanks in that case.
Having such a slow weapon for tanking may give you some threat issues, altho the high dps should offset that.
Enchant your shield with +18 stamina...

tbh i wouldn't mind buying the darkmoon:vengeance card this close to wotlk. from what i've seen from the trinkets in wotlk the stamina is gonna be blown away by the new trinkets and the proc is hardly worth it now it defenitly isn't gonna be worth it in wotlk.
i would just grind the brewfest boss for the 2 +45stamina trinkets and settle with those till wotlk.
as far as heroics goes you should be able to tank nearly all if not all if you bring a competent, well geared healer and some cc.
and KoT is defently worth the grind, you get a nice head enchant and by the time you finish the grind you'll have 2 new rings aswell probably. perhaps even new leggs if you prefer em over the felsteel ones

good suggestions in this threat, and i'll add a couple:
ring
- i know it's green, but so easy to get and nice stats.
buy yourself a cloak -
this one
is readily available for under 100g.
thrown weapon
from MrT (drops on normal mode) - you will have a hard time replacing this as your threat weapon.
get your scryer rep, KoT, and sha-tar rep up ASAP - you are missing out on the
shoulder inscription
,
head glyph
, and all TK instances. not only are the TK instances pretty easy, but you can start farming the
sun eater
from mech.
right now, you can get two +45
stam
trinkets
AND the
auto-blocker
clone from BRD. don't miss out on free loot - save the $$ you'd be spending for 6 more stam.
the
belt
should proabably be your first badge purchase.

one more thing - i forgot to look at your spec.
i don't consider deep wounds worth taking ever. much better to max out cruelty and HS. i also don't like improved revenge, but that's more personal preference as those two points kinda float around. i prefer to put them into improved bloodrage myself.

I really like Anger Management to be honest. It's saved my ass a number of times, especially in smaller groups where you take less damage. It's more rage per minute per point than any of the other talents.
I also don't find it necessary to get 5/5 Anticipation, but since you're not at 490 even with it, you should definitely keep it.
The point on which no one will disagree is that Deep Wounds is... counterproductive in most cases. If you happen to crit on something that needs to be sheeped, slept, or otherwise crowd controlled because you're getting enough aggro to keep it off healers, the dot makes it quite annoying. Especially with hunter traps that have a cooldown or druid sleeps that may be preoccupying your healer.

one common misconception is the idea of a defense "cap" - there isn't one. every point of defense over 490 adds to your total avoidance, almost equal to a point of dodge. so i would put the cape back on as well as the 2 rings. the rings also add some armor, which is nice. the mobs in heroics hit MUCH harder than in normal, so you will want as much mitigation as you can get.
if you want another cape option, go for
this one
in SV (drops on normal too). good avoidance and some SBV for threat. can be a frustrating drop for some - i got lucky.
for a spec, i really like anger management; not so much for the rage during combat, but for the reduced rage decay out of combat. it really is nice for 5 mans. i like the standard threat spec of
12/5/44
.
for a weapon, if what you got makes you happy then use it. if you get rep up with thrallmar though, give
this
a try if you're still using your mace. with the orc racial, it should out-threat your current weapon.
