Develop a better friends list and get into a decent guild. With PuGs, you get grps that are at best average.

There's something inherently blissful and amusing about reading people's complaints about classes and gameplay experiences in WoW. It's almost a Zen moment of bated mirth.
I feel your pain as those above me do. Get better DPS, smarter tanks and call me in the morning :).

Though many things said were legitimate, as a tank this is the worst kind of healer one could ask for in a PUG.
Learn to let go & only invite people with reputations, good reputations. Everyone makes mistakes, the key is to find people who can at least learn from their mistakes. If that is the case, then I don't mind wiping on the very first pull.
As a tank, or even healer (as I have done both many times), taking initiative to actually
lead a group
often results in a more enjoyable, and successful, experience. However, many players are unwilling to contribute effort on this scale to a PUG.
They walk in with a bad attitude, and they leave with a bad experience.

ROFL!
Don't worry, stupidity becomes arrogance in heroics. They are to the point they think they know everything, eventhough you are constantly healing the dps more than the tank.
I have to agree on one aspect here. Pug groups are generally really lazy. I've ran into a few that are pretty good, and try to make a friends list.
But, truth be told, life>wow, and most of them will disappear after a few weeks to a month because they have a life(the whole attention span thing generally will make you a bit higher on the social level), and wow typically becomes boring after a while, especially if you have bad group experiences.

So many stories about stuff like this make me thank my lucky stars that I AM a tank and am generally capable of carrying a mostly bad group. I shudder to think of the experiences I might have leveling my mage from 70 to 80 once I'm through with my druid :|.
@Arideni: In that spirit I always make sure that I am, as the tank, prepared for everything in the instance before I set foot in there. I read up on the bosses and always ask if everyone knows how to do it before each encounter. I ask people what THEY want their raid targets to be and always engage people in discussion about what's going on. I've found that my 5-man experiences with this spirit have been ultimately quite satisfying overall. In other words: /agree.
