As it is elsewhere. However, the front page is using mm.dd.yy which is horribly confusing and wrong.

As far as I know there are only 12months in our calendar. Why does 11.13.08 looks confusing?
People need to use their brains more often.
Look up how americans posts dates before YOU tell other people to use their brains :)

Stick to the good old Web Standard ISO 8601 - YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. You can't go wrong ;D

Reminds me of a joke.
What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual.
What do you call someone who speaks three languages? Trilingual.
What do you call someone who speaks one language? American.
Anyway, as has been stated already, everyone outside of the US uses either a YYYYMMDD or a DDMMYY format. It's pretty easy to see how 11.13.08 could be confusing at first to anyone not from the US.
"11.13.08? Thirteenth month? Oh, wait, they mean Nov 13th. Silly Americans." -Anyone outside US
Edit: By the way, I find it moderately humorous that the biggest controversy in this thread is the date format, and not the supposed release date that is currently unconfirmed by official Blizzard channels.

It would atleast be the first time that I've seen so many
big
fansites post the exact same information, at the same time, with official looking fansites. If it's indeed fake, I'm sure we could expect an official statement.
Noone has said "It's not going to be released at November 13th.", only "Don't trust what other sites say", to cover all the general cases.

Lol, all those site do the same "OMG Wowhead ad says it s on the 13th of Nov". The other sites with the ads share the same owner with wowhead.

By the way, I'm not saying I disbelieve the WoWHead advertisement. WoWHead has merely said that it is an official Blizzard ad. I completely believe it; I see no reason why WoWHead would make it up and it certainly looks like official graphics.
The blue posts on the official forums. Two things: first, a GM customer service person really wouldn't know anything. They would go to their official front page, see no notice, and just regurgitate the company line of "Anything posted on a third party website is considered speculation." Secondly, no one has said it is not coming out on the 13th, or that the ad is a fake. Merely "We haven't announced it yet."
So what I'm thinking? Blizzard released the ad to WoWhead. WoWhead posted it. Whether there was a snafu with the timing or not, that is yet to be seen.

The fansites that claim this without source:
Wowhead (Owned by ZAM), Thottbot (Owned by ZAM), Project Lore (In partnership with ZAM)
The fansites that claim this providing source:
mmo-champion (source as the ZAM sites; wowhead/thottbot/etc), wowinsider (source as ZAM sites; wowhead/thottbox/etc), and so on.
Really, only one group of people are actually claiming this, without any evidence or anything at all to support the claim.

I really dont understand why people think that Wowhead (or the ZAM network) would waste time in making such an ad and post a fake release date which would damage their credibility.
Must be a reason, not like any good will come if they post fake dates.
This ^^
Wowhead trades on its reputation and if this turned out to be fake (and i mean totally fake, not blizzard announcing a delay) it would seriously damage their reputation and credibility, and when thats all you have to keep your users...well...not a wise move.

There's absolutely no reason for Wowhead, with the reputation it has gained over the years, to pull a stunt like this. I have full confidance that it is 100% true.
