Druids set to be the best tanks in WotLK?

Okay, so I recently heard that Crushing Blows are being removed from the game. I can't remember where I heard it from, so there's a large possibility that I'm wrong, and let me know if this is so, but if it's right, Druids are being hugely buffed.
We already have more armor than a Warrior or Paladin could ever dream of getting, ridiculously high health pools, and an incredibly high amount of avoidance. I know we can't parry or block, but in my old SSC / TK guild, I had more dodge alone than our Warrior MT had dodge, parry and miss chance. Block doesn't count since they still take damage, it's just for removing Crushing Blows.
So, if Crushing Blows are being removed, won't we be obviously superior? Any thoughts?

not even close right now. yes, crushings were removed and we can become crit immune through talents - but we no longer have an armor advantage over other tanks (we're at about equal/slightly less armor than warriors/paladins), and our dodge ratios were nerfed.
Right now, statistically, we have less damage mitigation than the other three tanking classes. We also have less raid utility, since almost everything that we bring to a raid is now available to warriors, dk's, and paladins. The only 'good' thing I've seen for druid tanking in WOTLK so far is that we do an ungodly amount of damage in bear form. I've come out #1 for damage done in my past half dozen instance runs - usually with around 30-40% of the group's total damage output.

Druids set to be the best tanks in WotLK?
Let's see...
If Blizzard would do that, than paladins, warriors and deathknights would be obsolete, which might reduce the player base, meaning reducing income for Blizzard, meaning not-gonna-happen-until-hell-freezes.
I'd say that sums it up...

Please tell me your not that big of an idiot? The scenario you described would be if druids were so far OP that people would only want to run w/ Druid tanks, and thats not going to happen. Hes just hoping that druids get a chance to be the preferred main tank.
However from what I've seen Pally's seem to be the dominate tanks right now. there threat output is so high and quick its ridiculous. I mean my mage puts out 3500+ dps and I cant pull aggro of our pally tank even if i try haha.
But w/ that said I've really never had a problem my guilds tanks. I mean we have 3 Naxx 10 mans going and our MT is diffrent in each one. 1 pally, 1 war and 1 druid. And all make running easy.
As long as you know how to play your tank and know what gear to find you can MT w/ the best of them. Just remember, every tank/class, has its weakness's and its strength and still have unique talents. So certain class's are always preferred for certain fights.

please note that if you have a DK in your group and they get their short range ice attack off that debuffs attack speed, it will overwrite your infected wounds on the target unless you have 2 applications of it up. The ice debuffs is a 14% debuff, where as infected wounds it only 10% each, but can stack twice making it the better choice, but seeing as how it's most likely the DK in the group will get his disease on him quickly, it doesn't really help.

Infected Wounds is nice, but when it comes to AoE, Thunderclap takes the cake for ease of spreading the debuff.

and
THIS is my bear using Survival Instincts when engaging heroic Patchwerk
No Tier 7 yet and still using lvl 70 rings and some blues for chest, gloves and legs =/

Back on topic, yes, small guild, but built around efficiency and cooperation. I use still 4xT6 when going cat DPS. Losing ~3% crit and ~200AP for swapping those 4 pieces is compensated by the -5 energy to Mangle and ESPECIALLY the +15% damage to Rip and Ferocious Bite. Using cat skills in a smart rotation and taking advantage of good gear (even if it's 'obsolete') goes a long way!
Kitty DPS proof
- heroic Sapphiron.
