does anyone know of a site that is sort of like a guild database, where you can view guilds by server and faction and then have it show info about the guild and urls, contacts? if no, would people be interested in something like this ?

The only reliable way (that I know of) would be to check stickied Guild Progression threads over on the official Realm forums.

wowwiki.com should have a list of most active guilds for each realm. It's by no means a comprehensive list, but it should have most of the big name guilds listed for each realm/faction/server.

The issue with jutsu is that it doesn't take into account people who leave raiding guilds to join smaller guilds, or people who raid as raiding groups that are not of the same guild. For example my guild shows up as having cleared all the way up to the first boss in BT even though it's an RP guild, several of our members however raid with a group of people (not all in the same guild) that have cleared part way into BT (and that's what jutsu is picking up).

so then my question would have to be if you could make a wow guild site, what kind of things would you want to see it do?

why would this get moved into beginners? makes no sense at all and pretty quickly killed my thread.
