It was itching me to write a guide about resist gear at 70, and the final raiding instances specifically. My guild isn't probably going to get in T6 content, but who knows, somebody might find it helpful. Yes, I know it's all here on Wowhead, but I wanted to make it...you know, more organized. So here it is:
In the following list you will see:
Item, its resistance amount, and how its made, using this template:
Item Name (Resistance amount) - Made with <profession> via <recipe>. Requires <skill> <profession> and <status> with <faction>.
The "Requires" field indicates the requirements for the item to be
made, not worn.
Quest rewards are written in an individual form, depending on the item and the quest.
Notice, on Frost and Nature, for Mail, Leather and Cloth, I've put "None". It doesn't mean there are absolutely no items with those resists. It means that there are no items with level high enough to be actually useful, or even if they had the level, the resist amount wasn't high enough. I've filtered all items to:
- Have level more than 100 (Karazhan items are 115)
- Have resist more than 20

Oh, and as for resist cloaks, you may want to add (some) of
these randomly enchanted blue cloaks. They don't give great amounts of resistance, but their other stats are quite nice compared to most resist items, provided you are lucky enough to get one that fits your class/spec.

Didn't want to include items with "random enchantment" since your best chance of getting those is farming the AH.
Also,
Leather+Frost Resistance yields nothing from TBC, and some fairly useless pre-BC items (useless for TBC).
Yes, I am thinking about mentioning something about
Resistance Sets, and total (mat) cost for each one of them.
Where what resistance is needed.
