The bf and I both play WoW and we both aggro each other for the simple fact that I play the entire day and he plays the entire night, often never playing together. We both complain that the other plays too much. We found a fix for that, we just meet in the middle. I start playing later than normal and he plays earlier than normal and sometimes we play together.
Guys, to avoid wife/gf aggro find her a game she'll get sucked into...seriously. I was all about Diablo II before I got into WoW. The Sims2 seems to be chick centered brain crack as well.

Make sure to do your share of the chores and spend quality time with your spouse.
Might also want to actually schedule play times so each week it's know what to expect.
And.... while in transit from Darn to Sithithus or Shat to Netherstorm.. is a good chance to pop in a load of laundry in or grab a dish rag and clean up the counter top. LOL ... on non-raid days or when waiting for Battle groups, I'll pop up and do dishes for 10-20 while AV is queued.
AND... WoW can be a stress reliever... say its WoW or Booze ! Just kidding.
BigMiker hit the nail on the head when he said schedule play times each week so your spouse knows what to expect.
WoW is surprisingly a stress reliever for me as well as therapy for seasonal affective disorder (running around in simulated sunshine). I actually find I get cranky when I don't play for a while. It really is a nice distraction, particularly when you work 40 hours a week and trying to run a business on the side.

The Sims2 saved my life. ROFL
I was catching serious agro over WoW until I found her something to do. Now she is on the computer behind me and even though we are doing different things she still feels like i'm "hanging out with her" which gets rid of the "picking your game over me" argument.
This actually worked against me. I got my gf to play WoW and she got somewhat addicted. She would still be playing when I got home from work. It was a relief actually.
Eventually she quit and tried to get me to quit because of how addictive she knew it was. So in this case, it didn't help me in the long run.

Then she helped me create my rogue and well the kids don't really know what my wife and I look like any more.
Hmm .. that doesn't sound too healthy.
