I love Auctioneer, but I hate how much memory it takes up. I know it's only 3-4MB, but I'm thinking there's gotta be something out there more lightweight. I only use Auctioneer to scan the AH, get prices for my auctions, and check out the value of items on their tooltip. Can I get the same functionality from a lighter mod?

They are hopping that Auctioneer Advanced is lighter weight than it's predisesor.
DON"T DL it now and throw your old Auctioneer away though. It is still buggy. Run scans on both of them and suck up huge memory ATM and once AA comes out of alpha/beta testing switch full over to it.

If you want something more light weight than Auctioneer, than wowecon isn't the way you want to go. It takes up almost 40mb! It is good though because it gives you up to date enchantment data, vendor and AH prices without having to scan the AH.

Considering the amount of data that auctioneer makes available to you, I'd say the footprint is pretty small. I've been using AA since the pre-alpha and it uses a considerable amount less memory than the previous one. As soon as they get the full-auctionhouse scan working, it'll be a total breeze to scan several times a day. With the change to server-/client-side sorting, it's already 1/3 to 1/4 as long as it was before.
