I like the joking around between the guys during the trash. Makes those parts more entertaining.
I suggest more songs. They have alot of funny 1 liners, but songs are better.

A healer who is playing perfectly with minimal latency (<50 ms) can avoid any meaningful overhealing and still manage to heal a tank getting his ass smacked around by bursty raid bosses (maulgar, mother, morogrim, kael's pyroblasts, just to name a few)
As a healer, you should always be casting and cancelling the heal at least 0.3 seconds before the heal actually lands if the tank is topped off. this will allow you to maximize your time in the 5-second rule (if you don't know about taking advantage of the 5-second rule, you are unqualified to patronize others about healing) while still being able to heal through burst damage.
If you're a holy priest assigned to the MT, then you should still cancel your casts if your GH heals for significantly more than what the HP deficit on the MT is (like if you heal for 25% of the MT's HP with max rank GH and he's at 90%, by the time it's about to land, cancel it). HoTs and pally FoL spams (or even downranked HL spams) are supposed to take care of those little tidbits.
Also, if you've been healing for any significant amount of time, you'd know when and where to expect bursts of damage. a really simple example of this would be kael's pyroblasts; those things have definite cast times so you should be able to time a big heal on the MT right after the blast lands (3 sec cast, so you can just time it). Overhealing in this case would occur when there is a disproportionate number of healers on the MT, like if 3 GH's land right at about the same time.
so yeah, overhealing isn't "inevitable" like you say it is. It is if you're spam healing the tank to cover bursty bits of damage, but that's a pretty bad way to heal anyway, AND it lowers your 5-second rule regen. Raid MT healing (at least, as a priest) is like playing those golfing games (you know the ones where a bar fills up repeatedly and you have to time it so that it's completely full to get the most power). Or rather, it's like playing two of those games at the same time (your cast bar vs. the tank's HP bar).
my 2 cents.

It's tragically hilarious. You try and offer helpful advice in a civilized manner to these self-titled "casuals" and you just get a load of abuse from them going on about how you're a 'looser' and that they "play for fun". I'm sorry to ruin it for you, but you have more fun in games when you know how to play them properly. Who is having the most fun, the "casual" wiping to netherspite because "beamz is 2 hard", or the "elitist" killing Illidan with a raid full of competent players?
Keep telling yourself you're having fun when your guild has wiped to Teron Gorefiend for the past 3 months.
I'm just fed up of you "casuals" that get this game nerfed to the brainless cesspit it has become. I would genuinely *love* Project Lore to attempt the first incarnations of heroics like Black Morass, The Botanica, Old Hillsbrad, The Shattered Halls. Each minisode would be at least two hours long, because the old versions were much less forgiving to terrible players.
Anyway, I'm no "elitist", but I think it's funny to watch you whiny "casuals" play World of Warcraft like a button smashing 6 year old plays Street Fighter 2.

Btw about over healing.
I jus wonder have you ever been to raid? any raid boss encounter? (dont bull $%^& with 5mans)
wtf, <50ms? As a healer(T4 bla blah), during boss encounter (about u read Only) i am forced to spamming heals in mid fights so hard, and such STUPID idea as casting and then canceling ur cast if u about to over heal will never work since u cant waste even GCD.
Castin and canceling will/may work on trash pulls, (in ur case 5mans only).
btw, if you never overheal, that means ur spell crit sucks, cause mostly healing crit may and will overheal. In my case Healing Wave crit is around 7-8k which screwsup all overhealing statistics

they have done botanica already and Black Morass isnt hard at all.
but yes old hillsbrad and Shattered Halls will be hard
They used to be harder, as is all content before everything is nerfed to hell for noobies at some point :)
It would be nice to see the WWS stats for each run for some more commentary ;)

Excellent notes that I suggest all healers take heed. In WotLK all spells will be based on % base mana making low rank spells completely redundant. Spamming low ranked heals was never Blizzard's intention; once again impeccable timing and maximum usage of the 5-second rule takes precedence over spamming a few keys.

I believe crohnoes said the first incarnations of those said instances, before they were nerfed to non-existance. The same happened to the original Magister's Terrace before 2.4.3: it was difficult, required team work, multitude of CCs, and strained the healer's ability to the max. The same cannot be said to the current version of the instance, sadly.
daurenr, while currently you can still spam heals in raids I suggest you read swbang86's post and start adjusting your playstyle now. Unless they retract the change on low ranked spells, if you still want to be a healer you will
need
to adapt.

And what is that hunter doing and the tank NOT doing if he pulls aggro...there is no f'n way he can do that on a boss if they're not doing something wrong. Use a threat meter :)
And why not just HS to shattrath, get more ammo and summon back, you have a warlock.

Did anyone think it was just a way to show how much he heals for in the regular episodes? Since that's the first time ever they showed a his screen?
Just a thought.

I guess you guys haven't heard the song?

As far as shaman healing goes, mana regen outside of the 5sr really isn't a major concern since most of our regen continues while casting. Also, it doesn't really matter if you blow half of your mana pool in a fight if you can drink for even a few ticks by the time the next set of mobs has been pulled.
In the end, we are talking about a 5-man instance and a very short fight. Personally, I don't complain about overhealing when the run is going perfectly smoothly.
Still love all of you guys.
lmao, that's just awesome.
I find this to be pretty nice stuff. Not quite on the same level as
this
, but quite hilarious and pretty education.
