Since when is 300 resil the cap? 435 resil here, and 485 is the goal.... You don't get out of feeling uber squishy until you get to 350 resil.
For PVP
If you want to kill stuff, go shadow. If you want to keep your healing going, use disc/holy. For PVP, you want your pvp gear. Only using T6 if you are that high to help it out. Otherwise, the more resil, the better. Use 60 badges on the cloak with resil of your choice. Shroud of hope is better than the haste cloak for 2v2 and 3v3. The optimal build also depends on the size of team you are playing in. PVP gear is for pvp, get them thru honor. Veteran's gear is pretty crappy at this point. Vindicator's gear is way better, but if you have badges just sitting around, use them and grind other pieces until you can replace those having full resil gear on all your other gear. As a clothie, the more resil the better. Locks show up with 485-510 resil. They are VERY hard to kill.
Shadow will make you a "kill first" target. Disc will still make you a target as well, but you can survive longer and make them very mad once you have descent gear. I've taken on dps from a warglaive sporting rogue and lived to tell the tale. I can kill them one on one as well as disc/holy. Disc/holy IMO is the uber spec for pvp as a priest. Warriors are the hardest to handle if they have a dispel healer(sham typically). Shadow if you are rolling as a dual dps team, and make sure you have a lot of cc available with the partner you choose.
