mining- smelting stuff on occation, oddly enough, most bars seem to be higher priced than ores
(i.e, purchase eternium ore for 2G each, smelt it, and sell the bar for 5G, and they sell for some odd reason)
mining and selling adamantite ore
BS- twinks buy the sharpening stones
the enchanting rods sell well
i craft lowbie stuff for tips
selling nether is always viable
yea...

Mining- Sell stacks of ore on the AH.
Engineering- Make scopes, ammo makers, potion injectors, and (if I have a nether handy) the Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer.
That's about it.
In general, *never* make anything with mats you farmed with the intent of selling it on the AH. NEVER. You will make more money selling the mats on the AH then advertising to make that thing "free + your mats (tip appreciated)".
Well, not necessarily never. If you're getting skill points then it might be worth it.

Fishing.
Yes, fishing. If you have a flying mount, you can fish Pure Water nodes in Nagrand at a rate that will yield about 5 Primal Waters per hour. That's about 100g on my server.
Or 250 frost grenades. :P

I was BS/miner before 2.3 but with s1 for honor, BS was more a pain than a gain. So, I took skinning instead and I am sleeping on a bed of gold.
And I still did'nt do any quests in Shadowmoon ( except some chains for gear ).

If you are talking making money with professions in general, JC and herbalism are probably the biggest money makers in the game. Herbalism you sell the herbs (of course) and with JC I never bothered to ever buy a pattern. When I was 375 JC I simply brought ore from the AH (kind of like playing the lottery but you'd be surprised how many 20 gold stacks of ore gave 4 Living Ruby or other 50g gems) and I got the reputation and Halaa recipes to cut the cheaper gems (Talasite, Dawnstone) into gems so they would sell for more.

rare boe tailoring patterns are making me some nice change:
cloak of the black void: 150g mats, sold for 400g
unyielding gridle: 500g mats, sold for 1000g
i bought the patterns for myself, but it looks like they will pay for themselves and then some.
