After hearing about his sweet "officers/LC" and seeing the bads that are his rogues and fury warriors, I'd be looking for a new guild that wasn't retarded.
must have missed this one. I am one of the founders of the guild we do not have a GM in the traditional sense. Our loot pollicies have never been in question until this one incident with the TT. As far as "bads" it really is just a matter of our rogues. and we are by no means a "retarded" guild. Again for where we were just a few months ago and where we are now we are doing pretty damn well.
The point of this thread was to get advice to improve the ppl that we feel need help so that we can go even farther than we have. With or without the rogues we're moving forward. I will take your advice and criticism envolving the rogues being as it is that I asked for it. But bad mouthing the guild as a whole is not necessary.
again... I thank you for your advice though. WWS report to come soon.

A AWESOME tool you can use it warcrafter.net
Look up your rogues and click on the icon right above the health bar. It looks like some dude roaring. I'm sure someone is going to correct me and tell me which talent it is exactly. BE IMBA!
But yeah if you click on that it'll tell you all sorts of interesting facts and some beautiful gold nuggets of despair to think about cause 'ur toon 1337 sux'. Cause I know mine does =] j/p
i.e.
hmm... my hunter seems to be just fine for SWP according to that site -
Samba
sorry off topic... i got bored lol

the guy was a rogue in my last guild very well geared PVE and he was one of our top DPS. I dont think he had a bad rotation like that.
That was a run to show how PVE gear > PVP Gear to some of guildies who needed proof to trust us.
Anyway
World of Warcraft is a game full of number ! when i geared my rogue i looked a lot of site and all i found were number (humm because the game mechanism is all about number? ok skill do a great part, but when you max your skill, only your gear with number on it can help you acheive dps) well humm i think dps is a number but i'm not sure ?@#$@@!
Ok that's fine to learn about CP rotation but when you catch it, the only think you are looking at is number
Anyway well there is some number to acheive. Get a high hit rating to lower your miss, Get a lot of agi/ap etc... sure dont get 362 Hit rating with gear with strengh on it... don't be stupid. But get something more than 200 hit rating.

ESL maybe?
Arbitrary numbers are still arbitrary.
Your guildies sound
pretty dense
if they don't understand that PvE gear is better for PvE generally.
lol !
if that was only that the problem !
=P
the real problem is that spot need to be filled ... :(
i know about abitrary number, i have only say get a least that (not realy arbitrary). For the stat i posted, that was only for pure information. When i compare my rogue to another one, i look at these number. Do i try to acheive the exact number of another rogue ? nah, i just try to get the gear with the stat i need
dont be upset....

Another thing to consider, maybe Combat really isnt a spec for them. Depending on their play style Assassination could work better for them. They'd have to respec, regear, and test of course, but if it'll boost their DPS pass what it was, then have them go for it.
learning to play the best spec > being good at an inferior spec. this would be bad advice for any rogue trying to not be carried by the 24 other people in the raid.
Maybe you've heard the expression along these lines:
"It's your 14.99 a month, but it's our 359.76 a month, and we think you're retarded."
that kinda fits here.

Lucsoke style:
ok guy, it's pretty simple, just do dps, do a CP rotation that do dps and for gear, look at gear that do dps. Dont equip low DPS gear like the one who do not give enough dps do max your dps.
for weapon, Chose the weapon with most DPS. In raid try to do more dps, the only important thing is DPS.
i hope i helped you to acheive 1337 DPS!

What he says tends to be "simple." but it's for people who post incorrect things. like things that you've posted here:
get at least 275 hit rating. you will get more offhand hit witch will translate into more extra MH attack and more combat pentency proc.
this is awful advice and should be completely ignored, he posts simple concepts you're obviously not getting.
rest assured, if you want something more complicated explained, you can ask him, but he wants to bring to you the basics that people obviously arn't getting before getting into anything complex.

If they can't learn how to use a rogue in raids, then they should just quit and reroll. Once my rogue hits 70, I'll do the schedulded raids and some arena here and there. Other than that I'll be lvling my mage or druid. I dont consider myself a l337 rogue like 85% of ppl on these forums do, but i know that im decent enough not to fall behind in DPS once i start raiding. Leveling a toon and playing a 70 are totally different, and if endgame isnt working for ppl of one class, then they should try something else.
And if all you do is raid raid raid... no offense, but seriously... consider getting something along the lines of a life. Not everyone has time nor the will to spend every waking hour of free time on a game. I'm only on so much now because its summer and school hasnt started yet, but once I get back to the norms of my life WoW goes on hold. If that means I wont be raiding and getting l337 pwnage with big numbers, oh well. My guild can easily grab another dps.
Maybe the rogues in this guys guild just dont really have the time available to get the best gear possible, or the experience in raiding rotations...

85% of people eh? if you don't take the time to understand basic rogue concepts by simply reading stickies and browsing some of the wowhead.com database as well as a possible visit to wowwiki.com or EJ forums, you get flamed. that's how it goes, the people who do the flaming arn't "leet rogues." they've just taken the time to understand small things on their own, and can't understand why someone would come to the forums demanding that information be handed to them on a silver platter. "I know this is asked before but i'm going to ask it anyway." "I could have looked this up... but... I wanted you to tell me it anyway."

You make a lot of assumptions, many of them have no real reasoning behind them. "raiders get a life!" yeah, okay. lol.

it's not a gear issue really. read what we already posted, clearly their "main raiding rogue" is being held back not by his gear, but by his play.
If you're under the impression that proper rotations take countless hours of practice or something, you're wrong. All it takes is a little initiative on the rogue's part to read up and understand what works best.
But as far as the OP goes, I'm anticipating a WWS will show us a lot, i'm expecting probably a lot of slice and dice falling off the rogues.
edit: and when you look at a rogue's WWS, the lower number on slice and dice the better, at best it can be 1. that means they put it up and never let it fall, only refresh it. if it's something crazy like a double didget number that is an extreme case on the opposite side, unless it's a fight that puts you out of melee a lot. like archimond if your melee gets airbursted a lot.
