In terms of what a Death Knight will use for gear, it resembles more of that in the Paladin and Warrior. They use plate armor, need lots of health, strength, and spell damage.
In terms of gear, they are similar to Paladins and Warriors. Other than that, they aren't really much of a mixture of anything. Blame blizzard for having classes share similar gear to make their job easier with itemization.
epic fail. the death knight uses just attack power and all of their diseases and other spells get a coefficient from their AP that applies to their dmg.
What im REALLY interested in is if the DK will gain AP from agility AND str such as a rogue does and shamans (who will in wotlk) or if they'll be gimped in that regard like a warrior and gain a 1 for 1 rate w/ STR = AP
I dunno if Im right or not..... but last time i checked, both warriors AND paladins get 2 attack power per str they get.....

i'd like to say epic fail
i mean how does a warrior+priest= paladin?
paladins aoe tank, priests have no aoe abilities and neither do warriors, Pre-TBC that is, and warlock+warrior=DK? no way, warlocks use the fel energies of azeroth to summon demons and weild there magic, and i don't see warrior being mainly spell caster tanks or duel weilding tanks, also your very logic could say warrior+mage=DK? b/c of frost specced tanking... i could go on but...idt i have to
edit:
Blizzard makes each class unique, it doesn't combine them to make new classes
Well, warriors wear plate, act as tanks, and priests have spells that specifically affect undead and use holy magic to heal.
Both of those also apply to paladins. It's not that big of a leap, unless you're just being snarky to be annoying.
Death Knights are something altogether different, and they're closer to Diablo 2 necromancers than any combination of classes in WoW.
Being "snarky" and "annoying", I say that paladins are NOT warriors + priests, because paladins, from whats said in lore, were clerics that took arms and heavy plate and blablabla, to PROTECT the weak.
Warriors dont protect the weak, they are naturally violent and reckless (Prot warriors just think they are an unmovable object, and pick a fight with anything that moves and is bigger than them), most of the quest the warrior gets that are warrior only are quest to do what they do good, be violent, reckless, moronicly agressive, and hit stuff until they stop moving, and believe it, they WILL stop moving.... for example the quest to get zerker stance, you have to go to an island in the middle of nowhere, fight till everyone in a ring drops dead, then kill a guy that thinks he is better than you.
Priests are followers of religion and blabla, they heal because.... well because they have the power to do so given to them by the light( the gods of wow). They have no intentions of protecting the weak.... course they would gladly heal the wounded. Most quest ive heard of a priest getting are quest of spiritual guidance or things like that, like the one where you have to see dead people or something like that.
Paladins on the other hand, want to protec the weak by using themselves to block any harm. Many paladins quests when you start are about "sacrifice" or "protect the weak", on of sacrifice is the quest to make the Blue hammer in Iron forge, one of "protecting the weak" is the one you get in westfal when you are a human paladin, and you have to protect a woman thats alone from getting attacked by thugs.... which are a crapload of thugs if you didnt knew.
