people should just get used to ganking.....QQing goes nowhere, either use $25 to switch realms to PvE
OR
get used to it.
I agree if you roll a pvp server yyou're beggin to get ganked, but you can't change from a pvp to pve or vice versa far as I've heard. So, don't spend time in a pvp server to start, just go pve.

Glad to see this thread come back to life.
I have few more ideas.
How about a temporary hearthstone that can only be used once.
for example, lets say my hearthstone is set to Shats..but I'm in Netherstorm and need to go back to town to pick up an Item. Let me set the temp stone to return me to that Netherstorm location. They could be jewelcrafted and/or item sold on the AH.
another idea..let BlackSmithers put their mark on fashioned item. If I fashion a helm..give me or my customer the option to choose the color and add any symbols, to give it some individuality. I 'm sure some of the lady players would like something in a chiffon..lol. Having everyone look the same is boring.
Also..why limit people to the amount of skills the can possess. That never made any sense to me.If I can can afford to do them all, let me have that option. I gave up 375 herbalism to take up BS.

That's all for now. Blizzard, are you reading this stuff? Lots of good ideas in this thread.
Probably not. Wowhead isn't a Blizzard-owned site. They get enough suggestions on their own forums that they don't have time to read, heh.
I've seen a few suggestions in regards to ganking. The main thing I can say is, don't roll on a PvP server unless you're okay with getting ganked. Homo sapiens has a mentality that will have our species ganking the weak for no good reason until the universe implodes. Couple that with our strange blood feud mentality - i.e., I was ganked at lower level so now I'm going to do the same to someone else - and you'll see ganking, be ganked, and gank yourself on a server where you have the ability to do so.

Lots of good ideas. I particularly like:
1) guildhouses
2) mitigated billing for people who don't play as much during a particular month: a) $15 for anyone who plays over 80 hours in a month b) $10 for 40-80 hours nad c) $5 for under 40 hours (or something to that effect). This way if you go on vacation or become really busy, you don't necessarily need to quit since $5 isn't a big deal and at least Blizz is getting *something*.
3) being able to land at the next FP (by holding down shift or something) rather than flying all the way to your original destination
Here are some other cool ideas:
Zone Evolutoin
Have zones evolve through time. So if one year Elwynn forrest is being overrun by Defias thugs, the next year you find out what happens to Defias. Maybe they were run out of town and there is a new threat. Have certain props in the zone change over time as well so it looks a little different. Maybe once a year they release a patch that updates the zones with new (but chronologically related) storylines, quests, and props per zone. This would keep it fresh, interesting, and make you want to create a new character to run that zone again so that you can find out what happened in that zone since the last time your other character ran through it. Right now it's practically the same zone, same quests. People are getting bored with it. I know I am. Certainly we've run the Defias out of town by now!
Zone Dynamics
They should develop "dynamic quest generator" and "zone adaptation" technology which changes the quests and zones based on the actions of the players of that server. For example, if the majority of a zone is occupied by horde doing certain quests, it will change the zone and the quests in that zone (and perhaps adjacent zones) accordingly. This would have the advantage of dynamic playability plus zone accountability to the actions of the players. This could also give a method by which a server can auto-balance the horde/ alliance ratio by dynamically giving the underdog more lucrative rewards.
These aren't my ideas, I found them at
http://wowadvanced2010.blogspot.com/
. If blizz did this, it would make the game much more enjoyable and fresh.

If Blizzard is intent on knowing what their customers think, they most definitely should have someone browsing sites like this. Customer feedback is probably the most important asset a company can have. I'm able to keep up with all the forums.. no reason blizzard cant and if Blizzard isn't paying attention you can bet their competition is. First rule of the thumb in the business world..take what your competitor is doing and make it better.

1 - respecs should be cheaper ... I don't see a point of doing few dailies just for the privilege to respec.
2 - have a 'save' option for a spec. Lets say paladin is prot, let him save that spec so that if he respecs holy, than respecing back is easy (just load old spec) instead of remembering each talent.
3 - No epic PVP gear from Honor. Epic gear should either be gotten in raids/heroics or through arena participation, and I think in arena participation there should be rating requirement on every epic gear.
That way you can't afk in BG's and get epics.
4 - Access to wowarmory from game's LFG menu.
5 - Built-in gear switching mechanism (similar to outfitter addon or something equivalent)
6 - This I'm not sure about, but how about customizable crafted items. For example Black Smith can make a shield with 100 rating. Not 100 def rating, not 100 hit rating, but just 100 rating. So when he starts making it he can put 50 rating into def and 25 into hit and 25 in expertise.
Of course it's possible that the initial 100 rating lowers by more than 50 after adding 50 def rating, lets say by 60, so you only have 40 left over. Or some other adjustments could be done. So the more attributes you have the lower the rating, or maybe the higher it gets.
Basically gear that's customizable when it's made.
7 - Add 'DE' button to /roll. Currently there's need, greed and pass. People use greed for DE, but lets say someone wants for offspec ... they shouldn't need ... they also shouldn't greed currently - since that's DE.
I'd say: Need > Greed > DE > Pass
8 - Person who is pressing on DE button should be able to disenchant a unique item even if he already has it. For example, lets say I currently have a unique trinket in bank. That means if it drops I can't pick it up to DE it ... why? It's not like I can hop into my bank to de the old one and take this one.

Have another idea.
How about a stay on road ability. Example:If I need to go from stormwind to Lakeshire..why do I have to steer my toon. Why not let me bind him to the path and have him stop when he gets to a mail box or create a stopping post. This way I can take off for a few minutes to go eat or head to the bathroom and comeback to find my toon in Lakeshire. Yes.. something might happen when I'm away, but give me that option at least.

Then make all raid/dungeon drops below the last one drop blues...
Seriously think about it for a moment, why would you want to make pvp'ers pve for gear? The initial gripe was people pve'ing in pvp gear and this just spins it the other way...and do you REALLY want someone that only wants to pvp in your pve group/raid?
Please think this through a little more :)
Better solution imo: UP the ilevels of entry difficulty dungeons/heroics so that the gear obtainable through both forms is equal. The imbalanced ilevels is the ONLY reason that people can PvE so well in PvP gear when gemmed/chanted for hit/spell hit. If encounters were set up for and gear itemized for the same gear levels it would be pretty much impossible for anyone to perform the tasks in the opposite style gear to the requirements they would take.
Have a problem with someone else wearing purple? Just remember they pay the same fee you do to play and that everyone recognises where gear comes from...
