Im thinking about doing a TRIATHLON champion :from Gadzetzan to South Seas Island. I love that quest where you swim all the way to South seas island. It was fun and the idea of a "hidden in plain sight" island is pretty cool to me at least.
http://www.wowwiki.com/South_Seas_islands
So i figured since its a Triathlon, maybe mount up and ride from gadzetzan to COT, then run from COT area to the lower tip of Tanaris then swim the last part from the lower tip of the map to South seas island.

Summer Pentathlon: A contest of Strength, Stamina, and Concentration
This is written to mimic the pentathlon to take place during the Summer Olympics, a multi-faceted competition among 20-40 athletes.
The achievements are summarized in bold at the end of each event's description.
First Event:
Shooting: Using a
Sporting Rifle
, see how many
Elder Mottled Boars
(outside the entrance to Orgrimmar) you can shoot (and kill) in two minutes. Allow a full respawn between each competitor's turn.
Marksman: Kill 20 boars in 2 minutes using a
Sporting Rifle
Second Event:
Fencing: Move to the bridge connecting the Barrens and Durotar. Here, complete a series of duels (1 with each other contestant) with only a
White Swashbuckler's Shirt
and an
Adamantite Rapier
.
Swordsman: Win at least 70% of 20 duels with 20 different opponents, using only the abovementioned weapon.
Third Event
Swimming: As soon as the duels are complete, the contestants are to leap off the bridge and swim south down the river, coming around the south side of Durotar. Times will be recorded (by officiating druids in seal form) until competitors exit the water at the first section of accessible land at the southern tip of durotar (51,83). Players' feet may never touch dry land until reaching the southern tip of Durotar. This allows running/jumping in shallow water. Watch out for Crocolisks and that pesky
Sand Shark
!
Epic Swimmer: Complete the above course in a modified (see the scoring section below) time of 5:35 or less.
Fourth Event
Riding: Once all contestants have emerged from the water, they shall take to their choice of 100% speed increase mount. No mount speed enhancements may be used, though players may wear
Cowpoke's Riding Gloves
if it fits their style. The race is to the directional waypost (showing the direction to The Den, The Barrens, and Orgrimmar) in the center of Razor Hill (52,42). Times will be recorded (By officials with
Riding Crops
) until the player dismounts at the base of the post.
Horseman: Complete the above course in a time of 1:35 or less
Fifth Event
Cross Country Running: Once all contestants are dismounted in the center of the meeting of roads in Razor Hill, the footrace begins. The goal is to speak with
Darsok Swiftdagger
at the top of the tower in the crossroads (51, 30). Players may deviate from the beaten path, but they MUST cross over the bridge on which the duels took place.
Fleet of Foot: Reach Darsok Swiftdagger on foot from the center of Razor Hill in a time of 5:35 or less.
And the ultimate achievement:
Pentathlete: Meet the requirements for each of the five above achievements, in a row.
Scoring for the competitive version
Shooting: 50 points per boar killed
Fencing: Players receive 1000 points for winning 70% of the duels.
How much each victory above or below the 70% mark is worth depends on how many contestants there are. The most common are:
22-23 matches gives +/- 40 points
24-26 matches gives +/- 36 points
27-29 matches gives +/- 32 points
30-33 matches gives +/- 28 points
34-39 matches gives +/- 24 points
Example: 30 players means 29 matches for each contestant. 70% of 29 matches is 20 wins. Thus, 20 wins would be worth 1000 points, where 21 wins would be worth 1032 and 19 would be 968 points
Swimming: A time of 5 minutes 35 seconds is worth 1000 points.
Every 1 second above or below the target time is worth 4 points.
Each time a contestant's feet touch dry land, a 1 second penalty is added to the player's time. Continual land running is absolutely unacceptable, so each full second thereafter until the player's feet are back in water counts as 3 seconds.
Riding: A time of 1 minute 35 seconds is worth 1000 points
Every 0.3 second above or below the target time is worth 4 points.
Running: A time of 5 minutes 35 seconds is worth 1000 points
Every 1 second above or below the target time is worth 4 points
Whichever competitor has the most points at the end of all five events, wins!
Notes:
See the details of the real summer pentathlon
here
The rules for scoring of the real summer pentathlon can be found
here
This was written as a contest among 20-40 level 70 horde warriors using identical gear and no consumables, although alterations could obviously be made to fit the alliance, other classes, or lower level characters.
All class abilities are fair game, but no consumables or "Use:" effects may be used unless each competitor has identical resources
The weapons chosen for the various events were to fit the Olympic theme. Any more easily accessible weapons could be substituted with no difficulties.
The target kill count and course times were tested using a level 70 Undead Warrior with no lag or FPS issues. The mount used was the standard racial level 60 land mount.
