I was thinking about going with something like
this 0/59/12
build. My only question would be whether it would be more effective to have 8 second judgements or to increase spell damage from seals by 6% (2 points in Seals of the Pure).
If I do 100 Holy damage with every hit from Seal of Righteousness with a 1.8 weapon speed and 300 damage from Judgement of Righteousness every 10 seconds with the 6% increase...
(100 / 1.8) * 1.06 + (300 / 10) * 1.06 = approx. 90 Holy damage per second
If I do 100 Holy damage with every hit from Seal of Righteousness with a 1.8 weapon speed and 300 damage from Judgement of Righteousness every 8 seconds with no damage increase...
(100 / 1.8) + (300/8) = approx. 93 Holy damage per second
So if my math is right, my linked build is marginally superior. Any insight/feedback?

Alliance all the way. I used SoR because it's easy, and because I didn't remember at what rate SoV ticks at. However, the choice of seal is irrelevant because once SoV has stacked 5 times the damage per tick is a constant and the rate at which damage is applied is another constant.
Since when can't you use Judgment to unleash Seal of Righteousness? Or are you just nit-picking my semantics? I apologize for being lazy and not being precise.
What is the information you have that indicates that using your Judgements won't be required as much anymore? I realize that Tankadins will be getting a few more spells/abilities to help with threat, but I would imagine that those of us who raid will still be interested in maximizing their threat generation. That means using
all
the tricks we have, not just the new ones. Now, it may be that the new skills will invoke the GCD, in which case using the comparatively (maybe?) low threat Judgment would in fact be a low priority. I haven't heard any info on rotations and I'm not in the beta, so this is information I can only speculate about.
And as far as I can tell, the duration of the seal has no relevance to my question.

I see your point there. I think my biggest problem is that it's hard to figure out what works well without play-testing things.
Looking at the builds in this thread it seems several skip out on things like:
Spell Warding (perhaps assuming that the DKs will be tanking casters)
Imp Devo Aura (perhaps Holy Paladins will be taking this)
Judgments of the Just (perhaps assuming that Warriors will be using Thunderclap... even if they aren't the MT)
Guarded by the Light (shouldn't be an issue in a raid environment, but it will probably be an issue in 5/10 mans unless there will be changes to our ability to gain mana).
And there will certainly be changes between now and live.
Anyways, I'm working on the assumption that all those talents will be very useful, if not essential. I may be wrong. In any event, Blademeld is right... the tree is bloated.

This
I think is the minimum. Level 55, 15 free points.
Then I'd add points in:
Anticipation, Spell Warding and Judgements of Just, for even more
Survivability
. Level 73, 7 free points
Anyway, I suggest you tankadins out there get some spell damage gear, or retribution gear, so we can level up faster in Northrend. Because unless something changes dramatically, we'll still be taking a minute per mob.

blizzard stated that they intend to bloat all talent trees at least a little, in order to introduce a bit of choise
the current druid balance tree is also very bloated

Wait, this has increased to 2 pages while i was at Jeju island?
Well, I think Blizzard has a good idea for customization with bloating the trees, I honestly don't know how my final build will appear yet either.
I actually like

linked by Chipindots
Depending on the final T7 tanking gear, I'll either go with
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=sVZV0xIxczMgoeRGoVbx0b
if the armor has spell damage and
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=sVZE0zhgczMgoeRGoVbx0b
if the armor has high strength.
Either way, I'll stick to threat > survival since I have no trouble living as of yet :P

But some quick math. My pally has 146 str now. With a 15% bonus, 21.9 which would round down to 21. So 10 block value for 5 talents?
In WotLK at level 80, wouldnt you have something like 500 str?
So DS would give you 75 strength and about 30 block. Agreed its still not huge given that 5 points are needed.

Stationed in Korea Blademeld? (This is assuming you're American)
Back, I was visiting grandparents and other relatives in Korea, and I'm Canadian :P

Agreed, it's also useful with holy/ret paladins who can pop Divine Shield for 100% damage reduction while completely negating 30% damage.
I would also go as far as to say that bringing a
retribution paladin for this purpose
would be nice in a progression raid where the tank dies frequently.

As I've said before, I don't think dipping into the ret tree will be the most efficient use of talents in Wotlk for a tank.
Seals of the Pure should deliver more TPS/DPS than Imp. Judgments,
Guarded by the Light should help mana efficiency more than Benediction.
On single targets Judgment of the Just will reduce physical damage intake more than Deflection.
I would love for Blizz to make Deflection a Tier 1 talent but at Tier 2 you must effectivly spend 10 points to get 5% parry.
Also with the addition of
Shield of Righteousness
and the fact that all our spells except for Holy Shield and healing spells will scale with AP indicates that Divine Strength will go from a weak prot talent to a very nice prot talent.
I still like this as a default tank build with 4 points lefet for personalization:

I find that Pursuit of Justice is a God-given talent that is often looked over
*sigh*
I do wish that deflection was a tier 1 talent though...

Oh, I'll miss PoJ. IMO PoJ > Spell Warding but in WoTlk PoJ's relative cost is just too high. That is to say you have to skip a lot(too many) of the new prot goodies for it.
On the plus side Toughness is getting a nice speed modifier boost(still not PoJ):
Toughness (Tier 3) now reduces the duration of all movement slowing effects by 10/20/30/40/50% in addition to its previous effect. (Previously just increased armor by 2/4/6/8/10%)

this would be my prot talent.
i think it covers everything.
would be nice to have 5/5 in seals of the pure, but o well.
I'm going to quote fromt he
Ask a Beta Paladin!
topic
As prot, i'm interested in the stats crossovers. Eg strength to block, AP to Spellpower, Stam to Spellpower. How have you found these in practice?
Str to SBV is now just less than 2:1 but in that general order.
I find that the Str to SBV conversion is awesome and i can see my "threat" set stealing pieces from my Retri gear because this and the new AP scaling mean Str in the new threat stat.
Skipping Divine Strength in Wotlk will probably be less than optimal.
DS increases str and str increases BV and AP. We now get threat from BV via shield of righteousness in additino to the damage mitigation. And all our TPS spells except Holy Shield get boosts from AP.
Oh and Shield Spec just got changed to increase BV by 30% :)
