Death Knight moral issues?

something that the guy has to understand is tt death knights have a dark history associated with... well.... death. If you've played WC3 with arthas (where much of death knight lore and gameplay is based) then you know its a aprticulary dark path. Murder of civilians is part of the scouges business, a faction you are temporarily associated with.
as far as a moral problem, i find the change to be refreshing. Not many quests have you doing something so dark! if you were a pallidan, you've ressed dead people, if your a shamman you save the planet, if you're a rogue you steal for profit, OOOOO!! its so naughty. Slaughtering innocents is a welome change to set the mood of the class.
Have you ever read a novel? chances are its a horror or mystery or even war. Its no different, its not real, the only difference is that you right click, press 1,2,3, and or 4 and watch the numbers fly. the "innocents" respawn with nothing more than a thought in their head. And this game has almost no blood asside from a few rends. your moral questions should be more concerned with GTA4 or GOW2 if anything (not saying you should)

Death Knights will have moral choices. But only after they are freed of the Lich King's control, ie after they finish their starting zone. Not understanding that the starting zone happened in the past and that in the present, you are a redeemed Death Knight is not understanding what RP is about.
Now regarding the OP, i find the position quite hypocritical considering all that has been done in the past : "this is black so i can't do it, let's just forget about all the almost-black acts i did before".
I really hope Blizzard won't do any changes based on such feedback as the starting DK area really gives a great feeling of how things went and happened for your character.

From the current implementation, it's not only about quest rewards but also about getting your talent points through quests : you start with 0 and progressively gain talents as quest rewards, so this would have to be changed too.
I understand that people might not like it, but looking at the constraints of having a character obviously start on the bad side and control the rate at which he gains power (in order to be able to introduce DK mecanics to the players), the way they did it is really immersive and well done.
Furthermore, it's not about "lolol i can be evil !", it's about background coherency. When you start, you are under the Lich King's direct control. He whispers in your brain and is a constant presence, you have no memory, no choice and are a puppet. Having moral choices in that situation wouldn't work : either you execute orders or you die.
Not having a choice until you leave the starting area is normal taking all those into account, from a gameplay and background perspective.
People might not like it, but as i already said i think that this posture is somewhat hypocritical unless they never killed a neutral creature that was in their way for aoe and never did a lot of quests where you injure innocents, or whatever other such example that could be found.

ok lets get one thing straight, your a *DEATH* Knight under the control of the *LICH KING*
Lich King, Ruler of the Scourge, duh!!!! of course he is going to tell you to kill 100 innocent people in his name or whatever f***ing reason, its what he does he is evil, and since you work for him , your evil to. Also its a game they are ment to be killed, its the whole point of the f***ing game. Last time i checked this game was called World of *War*craft not World of PussyCraft (not that im evil or anything like that). As for moral choice, your moral choice is the class button you click, want to be good, pick a Paladin and go give people flowers and hugs. Also don't blame other people for the content you or your kids watch, its your choice, not Blizz's.
Besides i like the fact that Blizz is letting us get down and dirty and being the kind of person your parents forbid, gives the players a look through the Scourge's eyes, besides after the starter quests you, again, fight for the good of Azeroth, so get over it

I don't like the idea that if I were to roll Death Knight then my character, which as advertised I can personalise as I want, then I am unconditionally pure evil. That said, however, I can see the argument of it being idiotic and a bit pointless to have a DK who
isn't
evil. I wasn't going to roll DK anyway, but I think I have a reason not to now :P I always like my character to not be too nice or too evil.
Don't think of it as being forced to act a certain way, think of it like a movie script. Like the redemption of Anakin Skywalker if he had survived post-episode-6. By the end of RoJ, you really felt sympathy for him.
Or, if you want to get more WoW-y, look at Pinky over at lfgcomic.com. He's a blood elf who wants to be selfless and heroic.

How about not playing a character who's designed to make you feel like you're an evil bastard if you can't handle doing horrible things in a video game.
