The new disc will bring a new viable spec to PVE healing, and make it more powerful in pvp healing, that's all. It won't replace holy in the least. If anything, it will make it more specialized, so you can bring a disc, and a holy priest, and not have to mute them together to get into some talents in disc that are good in PVE. This will make pain suppression and power infusion usable in PVE, which are both really good spells to have at your disposal.
IMO, dispersion is gonna be weaker than everyone thinks it is going to be, but only time will tell.

i think the final priest spell in the holy tree will be extremely usefull possibly from bosses who cast doom if it works on that though kinda like azgalor
I honestly don't know why people are so down on Guardian Spirit, or think that the only time that it would be useful is if you are 100% sure that your target is going to die.
I think it's going to work out to be something more like a Nature's Swiftness for priests. I know it isn't an instant heal, but stay with me here. Say someone in your group suddenly drops to 10% health. If they take another hit they are going to die. So say you use guardian spirit on them. One of two things is then going to happen. Either they do not take another hit and (in the current incarnation of the talent anyway, we'll see if it keeps changing) you are able to heal them 40% more effectively, you top them off and everything is fine. Or they do take another hit, at which point the spirit sacrifices itself to save them and the target gets healed for 10% of their total health, which should have given you enough time to land another heal on them, again saving them so everything is fine. And the cooldown on this, like nature's swiftness, is only three minutes so you can pull this off fairly frequently if you need to. I'm really failing to see the downside here.

There isn't really much of a downside, but maybe a spell a bit more special for the end tier in holy tree would have been nice? I would have definately prefered an aura or any raid-buff that would have made holy priests a bit more needed, but we seem to keep getting very situational spells and that's not always awesome...

Unless PW:S is changed so that it can be cast on any RAID member (it's only in your party now), it wont be a viable pve build.
PW:S is already not great to cast on the tank at the moment due to prevention of rage or mana generation: it's really only a time-buyer if the tank is about to go down. At a 40% increase in +heal to what it will absorb, it'll be really bad for casting on tanks. I see it as potentially good for 5 mans if the dps is taking lots of damage, but not even then really, with the 4 sec cooldown on who you can cast it on.
Pretty much discipline is pvp still, imo.

Huh, what? They changed PW:S to be party-only?
No.

Read the tooltip on it, then next time you're in a BG, try casting it on someone in a different group than you.

and now the took away that crappy wand talent that NO ONE used
I used it from 10-70. Dps a target down to 40% hp, wand it dead, spirit tap kicks in. With a high spirit build + spirit tap = no downtime. Make sure your wand is the best you can buy, and your set.
Why wouldn't you use Wand Spec when levelling? Do you enjoy sitting to drink after every mob? I don't. I prefer killing something and immediately moving onto the next mob, with no downtime.
Sounds like someone doesn't know everything about Priests. Looking at you neko.
As for WotLK, Priests aren't dying. Way to jump the gun and cry that the sky is falling. If anything, Priests will spec a bit further into Disc while staying Holy, or revel in the new holy talents. 40/31 and 51/20 will be prevelent as the norm. Great builds for Holy/Disc.
So much QQing. Green eggs and ham kiddo, green eggs and ham.

The tooltip is exactly the same as it is on live, and it works the same way it does on live, sans the buffs deep in the discipline tree.

Hmm, I was comparing these 2 tooltips in wotlk:
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=48089
(which explicitly says raid and party)
vs
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=48066
(which only says party)
My understanding was that CoH will affect the entire raid, but that PW:S will only affect those in your party.
Perhaps I'm wrong here; hopefully I am.

I vaguely remember the tooltip for PW:S having a different wording before, which made it sound like it only works on party members rather than raid members. That was never the case, it was just an incorrect/misleading phrasing. I'm guessing that it's the same case with the new tooltip. If there had been such a big change to the functionality of the spell, I'm sure it would have been mentioned somewhere by now.
