I was looking over the talent trees for WoTLK you guys released and noticed something....Almost all the 51-point talents are PVP based. Take for example the Protection 51 Point talent Shockwave.
Now I can understand this being used. But really it seems like a PVP talent excluding the threat generation. Another Example would be the Fury 51 point talent. I don't really understand how this can be used in PVE.
The are others that don't make sense, utilizing AoE stunning or knockbacks that deal little damage.

That would be rather sad because WoW started out as PvE only and some people (such as myself) really don't like to PvP.

I doubt it would be the "end of PvE", because most of the games content is based off of PvE.
I think the idea is they want more people participating in PvP, not just PvE.

any
conclusion on pre-beta talent trees is very premature.

Shockwave is not a PvP talent. If it were, it wouldn't be at the bottom of the Prot tree, where no one interested in PvP would ever go. Its real use is a multi-target/AoE threat generator, making it easier for warriors to tank like paladins.
The 51-point Fury talent does seem less useful in PvE situations than PvP, but it still has some use for those AoE pulls where everyone but the warrior is doing damage to multiple targets.
I doubt that they're designing all those dungeons and raids to encourage everyone to PvP more. Basing your assumption on two talents in the not-yet-finalized warrior tree is a stretch.

I really didn't see any of the new talents and awesome for pvp except for the affliction warlock talent.. which I think they removed already. Most of them are useful for both.

Oh, I'm not making any conclusion on the talents.
It's just going to be awesome, period.

Honestly, the warcraft universe itself is competitive, it was orcs vs humans afterall, not orcs vs forest bunny rabbits... to say that world of warcraft was meant to be a PvE game is silly, they just failed to develop the PvP content they had meant to, and pushed the game out as it was, and to try keep up with people coming to the game they had to keep making raid dungeons until they could spend time on other things, like Alterac Valley (which wasn't developed fully either, and was converted into the BG that we originally got).
Its just harder to make good PvP content then it is to make good PvE content, so they just keep making the PvE content until the PvP stuff can be pushed out.
I'm glad that blizzard now has the time to spend to work on balancing out and creating more PvP content, but that hardly means that PvE content is going to die. (The PvE content can be balanced around the talents, not the talents around the PvE content)
