Meanwhile ignorant people with no idea what the real state of the game is keep blaming racials. But uh to be totally clear it's not the racials, it's just the fact that people are gravitating toward high pop servers where there are more people to recruit from. Alliance raid scene simply died out to there not being enough people to recruit and most quality alliance players choosing low pop servers or already palying on Horde dominated servers, so faction changing was a no brainer. For crying out loud, Alliance DOMINATED world firsts when Horde racials WERE supposedly OP in raids before Orc racial was nerfed to !@#$ tier garbage. The only legitimately GOOD racial the Horde's have is Berserking and yet trolls are like the least played race in the game at max or any level. So shut the hell up about the racial nonsense already, it really is a total non factor. Only time people EVER mass xferred for racials was mother *!@#ing PVP related and they all went alliance.Horde does not even have the best PVE racials right now FYI, that would be Gnome's and Lightforge Draenei. Orc racials have been !@#$ tier for 3 xpacs now, Belf racial is only handy on a single fight. And the overall gap between best and worst racial in raids is only 1%.People in general don't evne tend to play the best classes/specs over whatever the ^&*! they want to and you people think racials are a huge factor? No it's not the $%^&ing racials it's the fact that there is actually next to nobody to recruit on Alliance side because it's a faction mostly consisting of people who are very bad at the game or who only pvp.
If Alliance guilds are clearing it, then racials can't be used as an excuse. What happened was simple human behaviour. The best long ago went Horde - before any of these issues with racials. Then the people just below them who wanted to be just as good went Horde to possibly get an opportunity to be among them - then it trickled down to the ones below them and the ones below them.I don't know how you fix it, because it involves combating human behavior.Maybe you have to bribe the best guilds to go Alliance and make it shift the other way. :P
I feel like this huge imbalance will be a huge wake up call to top-end players. With so many open spaces on the leaderboards, I bet a lot of players will see alliance as a quick and easy way to get into the hall of fame.In short, the absence of competition will bring competition.
No racial unbalabce it seems....
The alliance HoF will likely fill up in a few weeks - glancing at the progression on raider io I can see that a lot of the top alliance guilds are at 6/8 right now. While racials might be making a difference I can promise you that the gear drops as they progress through a lockout or two more and get 385+ to fill the gaps will help more. PERSONALLY I'm betting on 50 alliance guilds (or more) being in the the end of the month. Then will come 8.1 - which right now if I remember correctly is looking to have more buffs than nerfs. I'm guessing they won't release 8.1 concurrently with blizzcon so the hype doesn't distract... so IF I HAD TO GUESS I'd say 8.1 will either hit in the week before, or after, blizzcon. Not wanting 'coming soon in 8.1' to conflate with whatever they announce at blizzcon points to before, as does 7.1's Oct 25th release date. However, wanting new content for people who resub after blizzcon announcements, not have staff have split attention between hotfixes and blizzcon, and the slow trickle that PTR content has been coming in at points to after. Regardless, I am certain that 8.1 will be here, be launched, at least 2 weeks before American Thanksgiving (which occurs on the third Thursday of November so... you do the math).I'm guessing that they'll want to do the second raid (Battle for Dazar'alor or whatever they're calling it now) launch AFTER the holidays so that blizz staff can take time off for American Thanksgiving/Christmas/New-years. I'm going to guess a launch scheduled for mid/late January (similar to Nighthold's launch). BUT its possible that this coming raid will need more tuning than NH did given the novel split-faction approach. With the holidays I predict the very latest the alliance HoF will be full is late November. By then we'll have had weeks of the more tightly-tunes 8.1 AND an American holiday week that hardcore guilds can use for pushing. That would give us a month and a half to two months of cross-realm mythic raiding of Uldir being current and relevant. If I had to give solid dates to my predictions:1. Path 8.1 hits Oct 30th. Alliance HoF is 50% full.2. Alliance HoF fills up the week of American Thanksgiving (week of Nov 15th).3. The Dazar'alor raid hits January 29th.
Man, not surprised by this. Have given the tip/feedback on it for expansion after expansion. But ill doubt they do something about the racials.Ions feedback will be the same as for nice allied races, story etc: you want to raid? the horde is there for you.
Gotta love how so many people whine here about racials being imbalanced and causing the faction imbalance all while it's so minor difference that for the vast majority of people here (and basically no one overall if Blizzards numbers are to be believed that less than 0.1% of players engage in serious mythic raiding) it makes no difference at all because their skill (or lack of) will erase this difference completely. Also gotta love how people will whine that Blizzard should 'fix' this... How does anyone imagine this can be 'fixed' eh? The whole concept of having playerbase of cooperative content split by factions is broken and as long as grouping with opposite side for PVE is not possible this will never be 'fixed' as anyone with any serious desire to progress mythic will gravitate towards single faction as there are more guilds for him to choose from and more players for guilds to choose from.Or you can just read one of the many interviews with top guilds that moved from alliance to horde and you will see that the main reason was that the choice of players was worse on the alliance side and was hindering their progress, thus they have moved. But it's easier to whine about &*!@ than find the facts I guess.
Thinking about it, this is gonna make Oceanic even worse for horde...We're already imbalanced in favour of Alliance, now it's looking like only 3 horde guilds will make it in because we're tied in with EU et al.Or you could transfer to Frostmourne, where it's likely that there'll be 10-15 guilds in the top 100 alliance world.Frostmourne already has three of the Alliance global top 12, another four at 7/8M (at least two of which are having sub 15% wipes on m-ghuun), and then seven guilds at 6/8M.Welcome to Oceania, where playing Horde is a terrible idea ><
and?
