Okay for those who have not been paying attention...
We will NOT be getting 2 pets. We WILL be getting 2 additional stable slots (4 slots for 5 pets total), and we will not need to tame new pets to learn new skills as they will learn skills automatically.
Camo from the Alpha was originally a 51-point survival talent (no idea why it said "level 68") but it got scrapped for explosive shot. However, hunters will be getting Camo at level 80 as a BASE spell (not a 51-point talent) which is much better for us. Not sure if it will break by casting aimed shot (although I know SM didn't for my NE hunter) but they will let us cast traps while stealthed.
Also, I've actually found aimed shot very useful vs. healers, or when trying to down enemy flag carriers. Granted I never get focused because I'm way in the back, but hey, a big burst of damage that happens to MS the target isn't unwelcome. In fact that's why I'm levelling marks (since I do a bit of PvP as well). However, it still stands that camo will allow us to be the snipers I always wanted to be.

Well, shame about the pets.
Glad to hear the stealth will still (hopefuly) be around though.
Speaking of that is it not in the Beta yet? Cause I couldnt find it on WowWiki.
And yeah, Aimed shot isnt bad, I think it's safe to say though that in
most
situations it's not very practicable. However if the stealth only breaks on damage means you can finish aimed shot while still stealthing that would make it much more effective as long as your target doesnt run out of range / LoS.

Camo is NOT IN GAME RIGHT NOW. We have no idea what it's limitations will be (cooldown, duration, stealth level, cast time, mana cost, movement speed, what you can do while stealthed ).
Also, if it has a cooldown, that cooldown will start when camo BREAKS not when it is cast (roll a rogue or a druid, stealth/prowl has a 10-second cooldown without talents, and that starts when you break it, not when you cast it).

Well the intention behind cameo is to make it easier for hunters to lay trap before boss fights hence the long cooldown.
Personally I hope they set it so that you can't use it while flagged PvP.

The concept of giving hunters a really cool strategic ability and then saying "You can't use this when strategy is most important (PvP)" seems a bit improbable.
Imo Hunters are currently very lacking in any form of cool 'hunting' abilities. In PvP your more like a ranged warrior than anything hunting related.
And yes, since it has not even been included in Beta yet we have no idea how it will be used etc etc. but I think it really is a cool ability and should be implemented in hunter PvP.

Taunt, distracting shot, growl, cower, disengage, feint, soul shatter, righteous defense, righteous fury (unimproved), blessing of salvation, grace of air, fade, mind soothe, challenging shout, challenging roar, and a few abilities I'm probably forgetting have no effect in PvP, and Curse of Doom cannot be cast on players. However, for an ability to be completely locked out in PvP is retarded and probably wont happen.
What I mean when I say "it isn't even in game yet" isn't that it wont be or shouldn't be, but that we can't complain about it's limitations when we dont even know what they are. Also, while PvE may not require the think-on-your-feet type strategy that PvP does, it does still require strategy in the form of planning (reading up on the fight) and knowing your class well enough to follow the plan.

Yeah, When I said that preventing the strategic ability (camo) from being used in situations when strategy is needed (I was reffering to PvP) my meaning was to compare using the ability in PvP to using it to lay traps, Not PvE in general.
Of course raiding does take strategy as well, I just meant that specific aspect of laying traps.
Blizzard will have to make traps much much more useful and complex for them to require that level of 'strategy' in PvE. :)
