Stat Weighting Suggestions

Yeah, I realize Stam isn't a necessary stat. But I still put some points in it. There are some pieces lower down in raids that don't give stam at all. This is a bunch of weightings that I've used on various sites throughout the raiding I've done and I've just modified as I've gone along.
Which is all fine and well for advanced players who actually understand the reason, but it leads to (some) PvP pieces being above PvE gear, and that's most likely to confuse newcomers (because they'll be told to "get rid of that PvP crap" the first time they encounter a serious raid leader). That's why I am against including stamina in the default preset or at least weigh it below spell haste.

, how to socket/enchant, whats worth more, and most of all, how little hit is worth, cause atm it seems to rate items with hit to high.

Unless you aren't hit capped, then it's invaluable. If you are, you can just remove the "Spell hit rating" weight.

If you feel that a certain preset sucks or could be improved, please let us know what it should replaced with.
Hunter gem presets should be something along the lines of:
Red: Delicate X (Agility gems, depending on rarity).
Blue: Shifting X (Agility/stam gems, depending on rarity).
Yellow: Glinting X (Agility/hit gems, depending on rarity).
MP5 takes up way too much item budget to be of any use stacking as a hunter, and agility has been theorycrafted to be better than attack power many times. Also, as above, adding a weight in for armor penetration would be very nice. A conversion of this could be quite tough though, an accurate number cannot be obtained without factoring in faerie fire, sunders, and such. Exact number also varies based on boss armor values.

It tries different gem combinations and chooses the one that gives the best stats according to the ratings you assigned. Either you're gemming your gear wrong or you are setting the ratings wrong.
I understand that, but it really should give agility gems first. No matter your gear, agility will
always
be better than AP. I understand that I can change the assigned ratings and get it to change to agility gems, but the ratings that must be put in seem drastically high.
These
, for example are some pretty average weights for hunter gear, and it is still using attack power gems. The presets should either be changed to give agility a much higher weight, or at least agility gems being made the preset gem for every gear combination.
Generally a hunter stacking attack power is seen as a - I hate to say it, but - huntard. No sense in seemingly providing validity to their stupid choices.

Well the issue there is that your attack power rating is set to 40 and agility is set to 60.
This means that an agility gem gives 10 x 60 = 600 rating, and an attack power gem gives 20 x 40 = 800 rating - so the rating values are wrong. Agility should be set to 88 or so compared to attack power.
Ok, I understand now. So now the presets should be set to something making agility more beneficial than attack power, and mana regeneration being rated much lower. Just for the sake of usability.

Yeah, the Shaman healing weights should include spell haste. According to the elitist jerks wiki for Resto Shamans, spell haste is a rather important stat.

May I ask what level of gear you are using to decide these stat weightings? For example, a resto Shaman in tier 4 content will find little to no use for spell haste, but for Sunwell raiders, spell haste is twice as desirable as +healing is!
Also, how are you arriving at these values? Are you using the class spreadsheets developed by the raiding community?

I do realise that technically the trinket doesnt fill any of the normally listed criteria.
It's also not a trinket, but that's just a minor issue as any "Equip:" effect isn't ranked properly. I wish they were, because it makes ranking trinkets (and idols/totems/librams) rather impossible at the moment. Actually, even some rings are undervalued because of that.
