Its hard to make another archer class since the 3 skill trees almost cover every aspect of the most ranged classes known so far.
A bard however would be ok, since you can shoot a weapon and sing at the same time. The melee weapon slot would become an instrument slot. You cant use your bow while playing the instrument. Possible trees would be arching (ranged damage), instruments (usefull spells) and wandering singer (survival skills, improving singing). Singing would be like a temporary aura.
While thinking for class adding useful things for a group I wonder how sense it would make to stuff even more classes in this game... Dont blame me for the blasphemy ;)

Ya but we realy do need some type of non-magic based range fighter in WoW other then hunter. think about it, between the mage the warlock the priest the druid and the shaman we have 5 magic based range classes. and with palladin, warrior, rogue and the soon to be death knight we have 4 melea based classes. hunter is the only non-magic based ranged class and there kinda boring to play as. at least for me. if anyone has a better idea for some type of ranged class then plz, do tell.

Singing and using instruments wont be magic abilities. I think the singing aura should have normal effects, like becoming fear immune (encouraging song) or let the group make more damage while losing armor (forceful singing) or make the enemies aggresive while weakening there defenses (insulting song).
The songs via instruments could work like channeled spells. Song of fear: After channeling the song the enemy flees in fear. Lullaby: All enemies in range fall in a deep sleep. Scatched playing: While channeling this weird song all enemies get dazed.
The D&D bard is more a caster. My bard would more be a jester with a bow. In clothing I tend to leather at maximum.

Inscriptions shall work for all classes - that means spells and also abilities. Surely the bard would have some benefit of inscriptions, too ;)

Most abilities sound exactly like the D&D abilities of a monk, but have been good adjusted towards WoW mechanics. I miss the reason why a monk should have some kind of Shadow Step? Fist from behind sounds... dangerous... in a lot of ways.
So far very good abilities. I miss something unique. Most of our invented moves already exist for other classes. How about a Blademaster move?
Mirror of Soul - The monk creates 2 images of himself, attacking on their own. Duration is discussable ;)

I'd like to see a Runemaster class, but that kind of is being covered with Inscriptions. There's plenty of lore on them - and it's an aspect that has so far not been covered much in WoW. They could be made to fit every role, depending on which direction Blizzard would take them, as they're not covered in great detail.
The Runemaster could have a set of Permament Rune self-buffs with Scribed Rune party buffs, while in combat using Spontaneous Runes. There could even be a few long-cast in-combat Scribed-Rune abilities to use on foes and friends.
I can't really imagine which expansion the Runemasters could be incoropared in. The Maelstorm area would not really fit as neither Naga nor Goblin, nor for that matter Trolls use rune magic. Perhaps the Emerald Dream as it's non-arcane magic.
For anyone interested in more knowledge about rune magic in the Warcraft universe I recommend reading the wowwiki.com article called "Rune magic".

Very interesting. This class covers also some aspects of an monk except healing. They could start at a Tuskarr village at lvl 70 because Tuskarr are very familiar with that class. 70 of 90 levels sounds fair.
About that multi classing - it would destroy the already weak balance in that game... Cat druids with Shadow Step, Retribution palas dual wielding twohanders, Holy palas multiclassing arcane mages... To much inbalanced possibilities.

A monk is one of my favorites, too. But after reading something about a Runemaster and condering its a typical Warcraft lore class I would also like to see those.
The fighting styles are very interesting. Add something like Buddha stance - 50% resist to casting delay due damage, attack speed heavily slowed.
One problem: Fighting animations w/o weapons must be specialized for monks. You know how undead females fight with fists? They scratch your shin...

I vote runemaster! I think it would make sence for him to be a Tauren and dwarf exclusive class. whether or not he is a hero class. Make him realy realy OP, Then nerf him with a patch like a month or 2 later. hmm... starting to sound ALOT like a druid.

Any race can become a Runemaster. Tauren and Dwarfs are the most common, but there are also Orc and Highelf Runemasters in WoW already.

oh ok. from what i read on the wowwiki page i thought dwarfs and tauren were the only ones who studied it.

And other races adopted those teachings. Tauren and Dwarfs are the original Runemasters though.
