What do you think the next hero class should be?

gnomes played a part in warcraft history long before many of the current races came about. Gnomish submarines and flying machines were a big part of warcraft 2, but most of the people playing WoW dont know that because they just jumped on the mmo bandwagon without looking into the genre's past history.
You don't see goblins joining the fight do you?
And the thing about Pandoren being a joke race is simply because after they released it as an april fools joke, everyon was like "joke?... awwwwww *QQ*" and they decided to add it as an actual part of the game.

<--For reference of a Brewmaster and what they can do.
The fact that they existed in ANY of the previous WC games (WC3) is all that should be needed to qualify them as a playable race.
Storm Earth and Fire FTW.

I still think they should stay out of WoW.
Goblins dont join the fight because they're greedy and work for both factions =P

There is too much of a fanbase for Pandoren. They will come about either in 80-90 expansion or the 90-100. It will happen though. Either way its lore that can actually be supported without having to stretch the truth.

that fan base consists almost entirely of those damned pokemon loving kids as well.
They are not a serious race, and they cant be made into one. Most people around are pushing for a darker, more 'evil' feel to the game atmosphere... adding big pandas running around would turn this game into a comedy, and we dont need that.

If you want "darker, evil" races, your playing the wrong game. They are more serious then Gnomes or Dwarves. I don't care what kinda Tolkien that can be spouted about em. Everyone loves pandas, not just pokemon loving kids. We don't need comedy?.. Okay then they need to remove Adam Eternium and Haris Pilton from shattrath, they need to remove dancing and silly/flirt emotes as well. They should probably prevent male characters from being able to put on dresses too.
What your saying now is completely ridiculous. Exfoliate your mind smokie, it'll do you some good.

im not talking about the existing races, look at the raids and instances pre-BC. EVERYTHING was focused on evil, dark environments.
-Scholomance/Stratholme: necromancers, undead, etc. all over the place. Hell the entire plaguelands area, east and west, were based solely on corruption and a 'scary' environment.
-Blackrock depths, blackrock spire: less focused on corruption/plague, but both places still had an eery/scary feel to them, the only real difference was more focus on fire and dragons.
-Molten Core: remember your first trip into molten core? Seeing two unimaginably huge molten giants sitting there, waiting to crush your raid? Or going up against the corehounds/packs, magmadar, and eventually ragnaros? It was scary as hell, and rightfully so.
When the burning crusade came out, they got rid of that feeling. Blizzard tried to go more fantasy-style with everything, more magic and mysticism, and it took all the feeling out of the game. The only instance in outland that even feels somewhat scary is auchenai crypts, because ghosts jump out of the freakin walls at you - and even that barely holds the feeling of suspense.
The game lost it's "epicness" when burning crusade came out, and I think blizzard is trying to get it back with wrath of the lich king. Everything in northrend is centered around constant danger, scary enemies, super-powerful bosses, dark/corrupted zones and areas, etc.
Putting pandaren in the game would ruin that feel entirely. Even if you made them a bunch of gothic emo pandas, they'd still put too much 'happy' vibe into the world.
It likely wont happen next expansion either. The emerald dream might be based on nature and trees and all that junk, but the entire premise of the emerald dream right now is that it's being corrupted and overtaken by some kind of ancient evil that nobody knows anything about (presumably an old god).

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and personally I wouldn't mind seeing pandarens at all. Even though Blizzard has pursued (and still does with WotLK) with gothic perspectives, it shouldn't entirely exclude itself from what else it has or had, at least. We should all keep our minds open. Besides there are many types of people who play WoW for many different reasons.
Anyway I say NO to nagas as a playable race - no footwear is just stupid. Unless they make a half naga or something with feet. Or a tail footwear maybe, IDK.
I like the worgen idea. Also, maybe the arrakoas, drakonids, or even the high elves. W/E, I just want it to be big enough of an expansion for me not to quit.
Even if you made them a bunch of gothic emo pandas, they'd still put too much 'happy' vibe into the world.
New Hero Class: Gothic Emo + New Race: Panda = Gothic Emo Panda

I dont think we'll see much of the ethereals after wotlk, they're pretty restricted to outland.
