from many attempts at trying various wireless mouse-keyboard type arrangements, my only suggestion would be get a wired one. generally better response times, and no batteries to buy.
Only time I would even consider a wireless arrangement would be for a media centre type pc, where you don't want wires trailing.

I've used a Microsoft wireless optical mouse for the past 3 years, and for all my WoW-related gaming. I have had very few problems with it; most common is getting a hair or dust particle in the lens, but that's been rare.
I replace the batteries every 2-3 months, using rechargeables (use 2, charge 2, swap and repeat); I get a warning about 20 minutes ahead of time when the batteries are about to go out, giving me plenty of time to finish up my current fight and then change them between battles.

The only solution I've seen (and once used) was when a friend went out and bought 2 sets of wireless keyboards and mice. Now origianlly he was using them on two PC's, but after the batteries dying in the keyboard on one, he switched it back to wired keyboard and mouse. So, with 2 mice and a keyboard he has one mouse on charge while using other to play, and switches whenever he needs to - and they never get upset or stop working even when in WoW.

I am using wired mouse and keyboard aswell ,they are more reliable imo.
Mouse:Razer Krait
Keyboard:Razer Lycosa
They are excellent for me.

I use
Logitech G7
. It works great. My only complaint about it is that the battery dies usually within 2 days with my intensive usage. But it isn't a big problem since they give you 2 rechargeable Li-ion batteries and only takes a few seconds to replace.
