Ok, so I just clicked on what is most likely a keylogger link. For those who dont know, keylogger links are websites that put keyloggers onto your computer, basically spyware, that can record log-in usernames and passwords and send them back to someone. This is a bad thing, because it means I cant log onto myspace or WoW right now, or my email... or anything else, without risking the passwords getting out to someone else who has ill intents.
I use firefox which normally blocks this kind of thing, but I'm not sure it did this time. I have a severely outdated version of Trend Micro PC-cillin, probably hasnt gotten updates in over a year and i have no subscription so I cant update it anymore. I ran a virus scan with it, and it's about 70% done, nothing found so far.
So what I need is some advice on where to download 'free' programs that can scan my computer for me, and make sure I didnt get that keylogger downloaded.

i wont repeat it exactly, but it was a warcraftsmovies(dot)com link.
I know warcraftmovies is legit, but when I clicked the link it pulled up a youtube-ish page and then firefox shut down completely. When I tried opening firefox again it said the program was already running but was not responding. The 'S' in the link name was my first tip that the site wasnt real.
Another thing that tipped me off was the fact that the poster was a level 70, posting on my realm forums, who wasnt a member of my realm. Happens quite often unfortunately, I was just not paying attention this time around.
I got my trend micro pc-cillin updated and it found 6 virus/malware programs and blasted them all, hopefully that got rid of the problem.

Does anyone know any free Mac virus checking programs? I can't find a really good one other than Norton...

Make sure you also download the "NoScript" addon to Firefox. I got a keylogger from somewhere, and after getting it cleaned and installing the addon, I haven't had a virus or trojan since.

This is the
EXACT
reason
NO ONE
should buy gold from those damned spammers. That gold is all hijacked.
I love to tip Warlocks who summon infernals near the spammers. Enough people tipping a few gold is often enough to get a lock to agree to burning the CD.
