As per a user suggestion I am adding language settings to my PHP script for Wowhead tooltips on phpBB forums (
http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=14347
). The script will now search the other languages that you support on Wowhead, but when it comes to displaying the tooltips, it only displays the english versions. I have tried modifying the 'power.js' (it hurt my head, the entire file was one line) file that you have people link to, but I have been unable to get it to work. Are external tooltips not yet supported in the other languages besides English? Any direction you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

As I told Tecnobrat, I have this 'power' file sitting on my desktop.
(i.e. I know about this and I'm not going to forget. No worries.)
The Powered script will work with the localized sites soon enough.

My apologies, I looked for any posts similar to this, but was unable to find anything. I tried to edit the power file to make it work, but was unable. JavaScript really isn't my thing. Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately, these localized tooltips only work on UTF-8 encoded pages, or something like that. I tried on my forum (ISO-8859-1 encoding), and very strange chars appeared.

Of course, these special characters need to be encoded somehow, and as such UTF-8 is required.
Any reason why you couldn't just use UTF-8 on your forum?

Well reason is mainly is that if I change the encoding, current template special characters will need to be re-encoded, and all data fetched from the database will need to be converted as well, otherwise it won't display correctly.
It's a phpBB 2 forum, I'm not sure I can tweak its behaviour, but if there is no other way, I can have a look. I'm afraid many sites or forums (at least in French) use the ISO-8859-1 encoding, that might be a problem.

phpBB2 does not support UTF-8 encoding. Support for it was added in phpBB3

Mmh basically, unless you guys find a way to specify the encoding for the wowhead script to properly display in a ISO-8859-1 phpBB 2 forum, I have no choice but to keep tooltips in English. Too bad, I was waiting for this international version for sooo long.
I hope you can do something about it. Anyway, keep up the good work and thanks!

Actually, the easiest thing for you to do is to update to phpBB3. Its stable, and there are converters to convert your database over to the new format.
