./dance pwns rogues!, nah just kidding :)
wotlk will indeed change alot, im pretty sure we'll be beating warlocks alot more. if you'd put 10 points into arcane you could grab
Magic absorption
wich will be an effective 80 resistance to all classes at 80
combine that with the
new mage armor
and the lock's fear would be cut in half, wonder if it means 5 seconds in pvp or just the half of full duration-> still 10 seconds
edit: fixed link

1) Frostyfridge, with all due respect to you. You just got owned. Stop trying to get out of it, you made a mistake. That's it. If you continue on you'll just waste another 2 pages on a thread that is originally supposed to discuss DK vs Mage not Rogue vs Mage.
2) You're arguing about skill when CloakOfSkillz is talking about the more powerful class which has the upperhand. So for example if there was a Frost Mage going versus a Shadowstep Rogue and they have the exact same skill, the Rogue would probably win. Usually when a Mage wins a ShS Rogue it's usually because either the Rogue made a mistake(Whether big or small), the Rogue is very badly geared, or lastly the mage being more skilled. So you can win versus many Rogues, but they do have the upperhand. If you both play perfectly the Rogue will win. From the beggining of the game people always knew about Rogues having the upperhand in fights vs clothies. Have you never heard about a Rogue 1/2/3-shotting a Mage?
3) Lol. ^_^
--------------------------------------------------------------
Back to discussion about Mages vs DK:
If you browse through the spell section of the Death Knight abilites, I haven't read all but I was searching for the anti-magic shield and I think that and
Anti-Magic Zone
will be the main problems.
1) To by pass
Anti-Magic Zone
I think just staying away from it would be the best solution because DK's are after all a melee class. Later on they will develop tactics though including using first aid once in the zone but that can be easily countered by ice lancing their first aid to interrupt it.
2)
Anti-Magic Shield
will be harder of course but I think countering it can be in many ways.
-If the DK begins the fight with it, just sheep him until it's over and burst as fast as possible because it's CD is only 15 seconds, leaving you 10 seconds without anything to stop you(Unless he uses Death Coil/Anti-Magic Zone/ a stun or anything of that sort).
-If the DK makes it in the beginning then we'll just have to keep our distance or just Nova/CoC him.
I think that's pretty much it unless I'm missing something.
DK's will be hard but they'll be just similair to a Warrior with spell-reflect.
