So my warrior is 61 right now and really dont know what build to go with for leveling...Ive got my prot set and my fury set but somehow I find prot more efficient for leveling in outlands... I barely get hit and i kill relatively faster... However everyone is telling me Fury is the way to go...Is there some trick to this? normally i just charge in, spam bloodthirst and pop rampage when its up :P with the ocassional whirlwind..I mean I would go straight back to prot but i fear i may be missing out on faster grinding later on?...i seriously dont feel like respeccing back and forth but my warrior has me all tied up in a knot now :/
thanks in advanced
Edit: confused Rampage with revenge :P

The absolute best way is the one that works for YOU, doesn't matter at all what anyone else thinks as long as you like it, after all it is your toon, not theirs.
That being said, the thing I liked about fury is that two mobs went almost as fast as one, pop sweeping strikes, cleave and whirlwind and you barely have to retarget after one dies. However survivability can be an issue.

If you find prot efficient and fast then go with it, you will have much much more survivability and a guaranteed place in instances.
And I'd assume you can tank down multiple targets at once whereas with fury I found I could only hold maybe two or three mobs at most and eat afterwards.

What worked for me to level from 60 - 70 is to go prot and: /4 LFG tank level <your level>
that normally gets you a wisper, if not, just stay in lfg solowing and keep saying that.
I found instancing the way to go, because you got all these people killing mobs for you and you get best-of-the-best drops (blues), not greens you get from solo-questing.
And as warrior, you can roll on both tank and dps gear, so even if you already ran the instance and got some tank gear, just re-run it for dps gear. Also, it's not terrible to say 'I need it for off-spec', and than your off-spec turns out to be that you sell stuff to vendors ;)

Use a complete Fury build w/ proper rotations, which can be noted in the
Warrior Talent Guide
. If that doesn't work well for you, then do the same using Devastate instead of Bloodthirst.

In my humble opinion it
is
terrible. What if there was an enchanter in the group, you would get much more out of having the item disenchanted than vendored.

I don't even remember the last time I actually vendored a green+ item. I disenchant everything possible, especially BOP drops in dungeons.

Much like already said, depends on what you like and are used to. More than enough warriors have proven by this point that when you want to dps as prot, it's still very possible. Especially if you have "fury" gear for a soloing set. Dev spam borders on the insane at times.
For laughs when we did a badge run in Kara a few weeks ago our t6 warrior put on his t5-ish fury pieces and tried to outdps everyone on Shade since it's agroless. He suceeded. 2.6k overall dps as prot in half fury gear.

I'm my guilds main tank and when I switch to my fury gear for Aran I top the meters as well. I'm only slightly gimped, zerker stance still cranks out those numbers when you have the gear for it.
