I am guessing no.
Alot of the land azeroth is just crudly filled in for the flight paths that go over them and theres places that arent filled in at all.
They would have to re-design alot of the area to allow for flying mounts in azeroth. Not saying it could happen but it probly wont.
as for northend, yes you can use flying mounts but you gotta be 80 or near 80 becouse they dont want you just flying over the land they worked so hard to make, and leveling would be extreamly easy if you could use a flyer.

Do you think it will ever happen? I heard Northend aka the new zone in the middle of Azeroth will allow your flyers so will this allow everyone to fly over the rest of Azeroth?
Northrend will not be "in the middle;" as the name suggests, it will be located north of the two existing continents. Like the other expansion zones (Ghostlands, Azuremist, etc) it will not actually "exist" as part of the pre-TBC world. That is, you will have to take a boat/gryphon to get there, which will be punctuated by a loading screen during the "journey." (While you can walk from the Eastern Plaguelands into Ghostland, note that there is a portal and a loading screen.)
While it would be possible to allow flying mounts in the rest of Azeroth, it would require reprogramming the entire old-world to make it possible. Due to the cost of such a re-vamp, and the fact that the patch download would probably be about the same as downloading the entire game, Blizzard has indicated that it will probably never happen.
On a gameplay level, any low-level character on a PvP server would be in constant danger of death from above (even in starting zones), in the form of level 70s dropping out of the sky on their epic flying mounts to one-shot them. Whether or not this would actually occur that frequently is a matter for debate, but since Blizzard will probably never let it happen, it's a moot point anyway.

According to Blizzard's latest WotLK update, level 77 will be the earliest you can unlock flying mounts in Northrend. Yay.

yes, you wont be able to use your flyers till lvl 77 as you gain a debuff in northrend that is called 'Chilling Ice' or somthing like that, which basically means you cant fly until it is removed.

Ok so lets go through it again. Its in the north, in between the Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms so.. its in the middle? Maybe I should rephrase top middle... To confirm ...
Top-middle, middle-top, wherever it is on the map, it won't actually be part of Azeroth in a programming sense.

Ignoring the amount of work it would take to make Azeroth look as good from the air as Outland does (which I wholeheartedly believe is indeed the reason they won't do it), it would be cool if they transferred aerial guards (Alliance on gryphons, Horde on dragons/chimeras) and anti-air defenses (like the Fel Cannons in Blade's Edge Mountains) to the old-world to protect lower-level zones from raids.

I wish they allowed Flying Mounts in Azeroth, but you can't FLY with them if you get what I mean.
So do you know how you can just 'ride' the mount on ground? IMO, you should be able to do in Azeroth... counting as a 100% land mount...

The Flying mounts can be used as a land mount in outland, they run at the same speed they fly at, so basicly they would run at 100%+
I think you read the post wrong. I know you can use them in Outlands, but what I wished for was being able to do what you can in Outlands, somewhere in like Ironforge or something. Not flying, but using them as land mounts.
