Human:
Perception
Arguably the best Alliance PvP trait.
Undead:
Will of the Forsaken
Arguably the best Horde PvP racial, allows you to save your trinket.
What more needs to be said?

Racial Traits
Cannibalize
Good for all classes,
no specific benefit to Rogues.
I have to disagree here, while it does prove usefull to all classes, melee classes benefit the most as they only have to regenerate health after/during battle.
Might be worth adding this to the main page.
PS. <3 this thread!

Not necessarily true. As good for Mages as it is for Rogues. Great racial and SOoo much fun to eat the corpse of a would be ganker that you maul like a bear.

True, that. Although in your example, with mages, they've mana to worry about too, you can't Cannibalize and drink at the same time after battle.
Plus I just love to use it with imp. Gouge (usually when lvling) to when fighting multiple enemies, it's like a second bandage to me xD

Night Elf:
Shadowmeld
The spell is essentially useless, as Rogues have
Stealth
.
Passively boosts stealth mode of rogues and druids.
Not strictly true, the Shadowmeld spell can be very useful if Stealth is on CD and you are not in combat.
Example:
Stealth up to ore/herb
Gather
See mob coming & Stealth is on CD, Shadowmeld
you can go straight from SM to regular stealth. You can also use any rogue abilities that require stealth such as distract
You can also eat/drink while in SM:
/use 'water / food name'
/cast Shadowmeld

That statement is in reference to the increased stealth level given by Shadowmeld, which is strictly true.

I was referring to the SPELL Shadowmeld not being useless. Of couse the passive boost to stealth is true. I thought that my following statements would make that clear. it didn't so I changed some pronouns to make it clearer

Is now

Hope this is clearer

Find Treasure
Good for all classes, no specific benefit to Rogues.
there is a specific use for rogues in fact because this skill can be used to locate foot lockers around the world as it shows up on the minimap while this skill is active

Any race can get you to 2K+ in arenas. Trolls and Undead have the best current racial traits in that regard. For Alliance, pretty much any race a Rogue can roll will have some sort of viable race with the changes to Shadowmeld and Escape Artist. Knowing your character and your opponents is a better way to win than rolling for a racial.
Also, battlegrounds are srs bznss.

Noticed some inconsistencies between links and descriptions:
Quickness
Not a huge bonus, but it is a static 1%, so it does not scale with your level.
Berserking
Good for PvP, better for PvE to increase DPS.
Costs 10 Energy.
(no longer has an activation cost)
Hardiness
Especially good for PvP to avoid stun procs as well as abilities.
(no longer
rng
useful)
And since you praise underwater breathing for being good for lockpicking, you might do the same for dwarven treasure finding.

I picked a Dwarven Rogue just for the heck of it when the game came out, he is my main and over the years Stoneform has changed but is still the main focus of my Dwarf. Sometimes I want to roll other races but I miss Stoneform way too much. I know that it isn't the greatest racial for rogues, but I need it. A lot of my friends I play with have the same 'need' for their racials as well.
If you think that your racials are better than other ones, than maybe you played too long and got used to them.
