Honestly, even in greens any DPS class should be pulling at least 600 or so. That said, Kara is indeed very forgiving, as long as you have a non-scrub tank and two bomby healers. If, though, you're all in blues/welfare epics, bring three healers. Two healers in bad gear really won't be able to keep up.

So i'm leading a group to Kara soon this week. I was wondering how much DPS each class can pull out. That way i can assess the teams performance better after the raid.
Team:
Prot Paly, Feral Druid
Disc Priest, Holy Paly
Ret Paly, MS Warrior, BM Hunter, MM Hunter, Warlock (can't remember his spec)
So assuming basic entry level Kara gears, skilled and solid shot rotation, how much DPS should I expect from my dps'ers?
Also since i'm clueless about anything but a mage and prot paly. I'd like to know what a solid shot rotation for different classes are.
I'd appreciate your help

You only have 9 characters listed there. Am I seriously the only one that picked up on that?
Your Ret Paladin and MS Warrior are going to be SERIOUSLY gimped without a Windfury Totem - 2h melee users live and breathe Windfury when it comes to DPS.
Also, as the others said, you'll probably want a Rogue in somewhere, to take Blinds on Moroes, and to stay on kick duty for Opera. A Warrior can do this too though.
Speaking about Opera, you actually have a decent setup to do Wizard of Oz. Warlock will need to spam Fire moves on Strawman to disorient him, have the Feral Druid tank/kite Tinman, Warlock keeps fear on Roar, kill Dorothy then Toto.
Also, if you're only just starting Kara, and not everyone is well geared, AND your priest isn't optimal priest healing spec, you will want a third healer. I'd suggest a Resto Shaman, to drop the Windfury I talked about earlier.
However, that leaves us with 11 people.
Tanks: Prot Paly, Feral Druid (I assume he goes Kitty for bosses where 2 tanks aren't needed?)
Healers: Disc Priest, Holy Paly, Resto Shaman
DPS: Ret Paly, MS Warrior, BM Hunter, MM Hunter, Warlock, Rogue.
You'll need to drop a DPS. My suggestion is drop the hunter that is worse, because there is some wicked melee group synergy there that you can make use of (Resto Shaman/Warrior/Ret Pally/Rogue). If you don't want to drop a hunter, I'd drop the Rogue, as while the Rogue would probably beat the Warrior on DPS, Warrior gives out Battle Shout, and I'm guessing you're in a more casual guild, so not so big on randomly dropping people you had lined up for raids. Then again, on that basis, you wouldn't want to drop a hunter either. Just forget about the Rogue, the Warrior will be fine for interupts.
This group is a bit melee heavy, and as such will make Maiden harder. That's another plus of the Resto Shaman in this particular group: He/She can spam Chain Heal on the melee DPS group, keeping them up, freeing up the Pally for Main Tank duty, and the Priest for Dispel Magic/some raid heal/help the Paladin.

what is the most common problem you have encountered resulting failures in Kara?People (tanks too) dying because they don't realize/remember LoS issues with all those annoying pillars and ramps.
Then again our group is mostly overgeared, I can imagine people in blues/greens having trouble with simply dying to random target damage or something. The bosses do really hit quite hard even with those (Moroes' garrote, Maiden's holy fire, Aran overall). Like dakwa said, the problem might very well be your healers. Healing in Kara does require being aware of nearly everything. Mods can help with that.
And after all we're just humans, and humans do mistakes. You have to accept that &*!@ happens sometimes, you can't help it.

Maiden is easy healing for all priests. Prayer of mending, all the time, when it is up, no questions. This aoe heal will bounce around to all the healers in Maidens aoe range, and if you cast it all the time, should keep all of them up for most of the fight.
Also, priests can dispel the holy fire from Maiden, so the other pally may not be needed, if both your healers have an addon like decursive.
During the maiden fight I only really ever would use PoM, Renew, Dispel and lower ranked greater heals.
Until she cast
Repentance
and you can no longer cast (or do anything) thats why you should have a pally to cast
Blessing of Sacrifice
to break it so the heals aren't stopped cold. It takes an extremely well geared tank to stay alive for 12 seconds without being healed on Maiden.

Ask the MS warrior to sunder. Having that armor reduction helps a *huge* amount when you have so much physical DPS.
