What the hell, I loved Serpent Sting and Aspect of the Hawk, why would Bliz remove them?

Aspect of the Hawk was a generic persistent steroid effect.
Serpent Sting I do actually miss. It was a great, cheap pull shot skill and even though attaching it to Arcane Shot (which makes no sense thematically, as I probably mentioned) Is convenient, 30 Focus to pull enemies and the like is far from convenient.

it however terrifies me at the same time that they remove it. since it appeared to be the only way Blizzard seemed to be able to change hunter preformance.
There's always passive abilities for that. It should be only a cosmetic change, balancing will just be slightly less transparent now.

Hopefully.
On the other hand, I couldn't manage to make recount work with me yesterday on SoO. So I have no idea how bad I am playing =P (at least the bosses were going down...).

As usual, Skada was immediately updated, and is superior to Recount in other aspects as well :P

Uninstalling wow in 3....2....1....
Cya. Hope you have a good time being awesome somewhere else.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I used both Skada and Recount, and you guys WON'T BELIEVE, but I prefer Recount. It's working well now, and it's showing me doing less damage than players 10 ilvls below me. On our Mythic raid yesterday I was well on the lower half of our raid team dpsers doing a ridiculous 50% of the top ones. Of course this is anecdotal evidence, so you're all welcome to go and try it yourself, but Hunters need buffs desperately.
Celestalon already said that we're on top of their list, so there must be something in the air for the main class of this game.
We've all seen this before: Hunters are awesome, period. So they think they need to tune the support classes WAY up so people would feel compeled to try them too. And in the end, Hunters will be tuned up too and we'll be as awesome as always.

I prefer Recount myself as well. While it is a very large memory and CPU hog (unsure about how much of the latter it is), I find it shows more data and is formatted a little bit better for presentation (even if it messes up now and then). If it was possible to disable certain parts of Recount like with Skada I think Recount would probably win out in most situations.

I rather enjoy that they buffed up Exotic Munitions even though we can't use it yet. WTB baseline version of that.

I like the idea of Lone Wolf but while the bonuses should certainly be a bit stronger, it doesn't feel that unique mechanically *shrug*

Lone Wolf (...) doesn't feel that unique mechanically *shrug*
Doesn't it?
I can't even imagine how I'd end up playing without my pet, apart from very specific situations (Immerseus and Ultraxion for example) and I'm much more of a sniper than a pet guy...
I'm sure it'll open a whole different way of playing for hunters (much more mage-like than warlock-like).

Well the reason I don't really like it is more in the sense that Demonic Sacrifice literally kills your pet off for power.
What does Lone Wolf do? You abandon your pet and you get stronger? Why not draw in the power of the wild or something or merge spirits with your pet to gain strength?
Furthermore, while the personal steroid is necessary, why not have it work in a different way? For instance, have attacks be fueled by bestial strength automatically and deal extra physical damage or something along those lines.
Might just be me.
(I can't really see myself going alone either. I like my pet)

Well, this is not mechanic stuff, that's just flavor.
And the best part, in my opinion, it's totally optional - still dangling on this because i'm fairly sure they'll make a couple of encounters JUST to force you raid without your pet, but that's another issue - and as you said, Exotic Munitions feels really strong for SV...
I really wish I could try those at beta so I could give a better feedback... (thanks blizzard for not letting ppl who really wanted to give feedback into beta... *sigh*)

Lone Wolf
could say:
Send
ranging the surroundings until you call it back.
You maintian a spiritual link to your pet, which elevates your awareness of the area, increasing your damage dealt with Auto Shot, Arcane Shot, Cobra Shot, Black Arrow, and Explosive Shot by 30% and you are able to provide your pet's beneficial effects to your party and raid.
Feel free to quote me if you plan a suggestion on the official forums/twitter. Vaguely inspired by ASOIAF's
Warging
and similar tropes.

That seems like a bit of a better way, though I wish there was a way to make Lone Wolf a bit more mechanically elegant than +% damage to skills (or just not make it the same/similar to Demonic Sacrifice).
