Do you, by any chance use third party "transmog" software like tMorph?

Yes I am a female and ppl are not reading what i write.
I am not using and never used a bot. I am playing 12hours wow a day and there is no moments my son can lend my pc and why should he he as his laptop and a stationær to play on.
My pc is in my room where i sleep so not even when i sleep he can lend it.
The most frustrating part here is to get through to ppl ...........thief think everyone steals.
No matter what, I got baned for botting despite i never used a bot and I bet I am not the only one.
Regarding my son. He didnt know that i could get banned because he had a bot on his pc and i also wrote earlier he forgot all about that he had it on pc. None of us used it.
I dont see any help here so thanks to the ppl that actually belive me.

I am sorry that you feel let down about what has been written here, but be fair yourself, if you want people to believe everything you tell them, go to your friends and family, but if you want your every word and phrase analysed by complete strangers, post on a forum.
You have to know that to most of us we have heard these tales time and time again and they usually end up the same way, hence the responses you are getting and as some of what you are saying makes no sense to many who know how the banning system works, you then start to understand why you have this overwhelming response in one direction.
For the most part it isn't about whether we believe you or not, we don't 'know' you or your personality, we don't 'know' if you are man, woman or child, we don't 'know' your playing history or even whether you actually play WoW, we can only go by what you tell us and as such we will look at what you tell us on that basis.
I really do feel for anyone that has lost what they enjoy in life and has to start again and if you are innocent in this case, even more so, but if you aren't it is a lesson hard learned, take it on board and move on as best you can.

What makes this weird, is the fact eventho there was a third party software on the PC, it needs to be launched before it could even be detected.
Even more weird, most of the third party software are invisible until you have put in settings and "ran" it.
i.e tMorph is invisible until you change the appearance of something.

I am a woman and they have so much authority.
As a woman I have no idea why you felt gender has anything to do with it or what it has to do with Bliz's authority. Also, I don't understand why they don't ban people who have continuously used bots on my server for years (who have actually actively admitted to using bots) if they ban bots on your server. Quit trying to make this into a crying matter or trying to use your gender as some attempt to depict your "docile innocence," it's an insult to other female players. "Oh, boo hoo, I'm a woman so I don't even know how to make a macro! If I have to do anything I need others to guide me over TS!" Sounds more like a guy posing as a female with his best approximation of how he thinks women act.
Blizzard is not giving me a chance here and I feel like a criminal.
Make up your mind, is this a psychological matter of being emotionally hurt, or is it about your account? Bliz is following their policy, this outlook of "they're calling me a criminal" is irrelevant and juvenile. They found botting software, they are within their rights to ban for that, and, frankly, I think you were fortunate to get the 72-hour bans beforehand. Grow up and stop taking it as a personal matter of emotions, just start a new account.

Playing the gender card really does a general disservice to women, I agree. I'm also a woman. I'm a woman who understands something about how the process actually works.
Did you read my earlier post? What is your response to the mirror scenario I gave? I'd like to hear your response to the scenario I outlined in your own field. To put it simply- if I stick a test strip in your urine to look for drugs, it's not going to somehow magically detect the drugs in your upstairs neighbor's bathroom cabinet. If all they test is the urine, it has to be in the urine to show up. In the same way- if all they test is what is accessing your game files when your account is active and connected to their servers, then whatever they detect has to be active on the same machine, at the same time, as your account was active.
The simple fact of the matter is this: There is a physical impossibility for your story to be accurate. I believe that YOU think it is accurate. But it isn't. Either you have a virus, or your son is lying to you.
As a logical person, no matter how many times someone tells me that the sky is red, if I look out the window and it is blue, then they are wasting their breath. They may convince me that THEY believe the sky is red for some reason (they're hallucinating, color blind, high, have a poor understanding of what each word means, etc.), but they won't change my ability to understand and process facts by pleading that the impossible is true.
You repeating yourself doesn't make your story any more possible- it just makes it look like you're not actually reading and understanding our responses. No one is saying they don't believe you because they made a judgement on your character. They don't believe you because you are telling them the sky is red when it is clearly blue, and have refused to acknowledge all attempts to explain that we can see the sky and have proof it is not red.
Please answer my question- if you are a nurse, if you do a urine test, and the strip says that that there are drugs in the urine, would you believe a patient who told you that the strip somehow detected drugs that were down the street when it was placed in their urine? If they kept harassing you about the result because they wanted you to believe their story that didn't make sense, would you sit with them every day and explain how the test doesn't work like that even though you already explained it again and again?(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

Why is this still being discussed? OP was banned, used up all her appeals, and decided to come here to see if a sub-community could help her. None of us can do a thing to help her. It even looks like our friendly neighborhood Blizz rep Araxom is avoiding this thread like the plague.
And I have to agree with the others that posted in this thread regarding you saying you are a woman. Stop trying to play the poor pitiful me card. If you want to play any card, use the "I'm a computer idiot." card.
My advice to you as an IT professional:
1. Run your antivirus regularly.
2. Don't go to shady websites. (Even if you are googling for something.)
3. Don't download every program you come across because it looks cool.
4. Take the time and make sure you are using a real website and not a phishing version of it. (Like the curse.com debacle.)
5. Make 2 accounts on your computer. 1 as an admin account the 2nd is your user account. Make it so you have to log out of your user account and into the admin account to change things, install stuff, etc. This will prevent you from "accidentally" downloading viruses, bloatware, etc.
Finally and most importantly: Suck it up. You or someone in your household did something to cause Blizzard to ban your account. Make a new account or move on to a new game. QQing on the Wowhead forums where we have seen so many of these threads end up being guilty of botting isn't doing anything for you.

Little necro but i feel like i should post in this thread.
Over 500, 000 account were banned in the past 2-3 months. You are not the first one i am also one of them.
Many of them are legit botters but there are people like you and me who did not nothing.
You simply can`t do anything customer support is awful in past 2-3 years they don`t even bother to read or understand the problem even tho they should when they mass banning because always they ban some innocent people in the way.
It happen in the past lots of time they even did mass ban wipe few times.
What can we do? Nothing sadly we must accept it and either buy new account or just quit.
I choosed other option because it was my main account with over 500 days played on my main char and i can``t and won`t start again.
It`s hurts me when i see replies that i get from GM`s but what to do i am moving on to some different games there is nothing left in WoW for me.

500,000 in the last 2-3 months, source? (scale that up and you are saying 2-3Mill bans per year?)
Blizzard doesn't just do a sweep of accounts and ban a chunk, guilty or not, there will be a reason, a reason you were given when they banned the account.
As most have said here, if farming or moving large amounts of money got you banned there wouldn't be many people left playing the game at all. I have farmed in some locations for hours at a time over several days to make money during expansion releases and shifted tens of thousands of gold between my characters and never seen as much as a warning, let alone a ban.
The logical answer is that either you or someone using your account was doing something that they should not have been doing, it is unfortunately that straight forward.

This. Again.... sigh.
No business in their right mind actually wants to ban paying customers, you have to seriously step over a line to get banned.
Even the OP was warned once, despite her insistence that nothing happened. (to her knowledge)
*Puts my Ancient Aliens hat on*
Could it be that Kidja was banned as collateral damage in a blanket ban? Is it possible englo was banned for nothing and ignored because she was a woman?
Conspiracy theorists say yes!
Anyone else with a modicum of common sense says not a chance in hell.
Get over it people. Move on.

If you read closely my whole post you will notice that i moved on and as i said yes i was collateral dmg it happen before but you must be newish to the game so you are not familiar with the mass ban waves in the past.
You simple can`t believe until its happen to you i completely understand you.
For example my friends main account was banned because he was trading wast amount of gold he was labelled as gold seller got perma ban.

There was discussion about this on GameBreakerTV you can easily find that episode by simple google it.
The reason why you did not get banned for lots of farming is probably the fact that you are playing on some low/mid population learn where traffic is low.
Logical answer is not always the correct one.
The problem also is that if you look other people what they were talking about this ban wave you will notice that some people got 72h ban and someone perma ban for same thing? how`s that possible?
inb4 like this is not my first time in fact i never been banned before never got any warning.
So yeah Blizzard make mistakes believe it or not and i am not here to prove anything because facts are all over the interwebz.

Nice way to start with a thinly veiled insult.
I've played since vanilla and am more than familiar with Blizzard taking action against cheaters, I've seen people banned, I've also seen people of whom I suspect of botting be banned in these waves, so, working as intended.
You mean this episode with this "fact" (unofficial numbers in the hundreds of thousands) in the first line of the article below. And they clearly say speculation in the actual episode themselves. Please don't band the word fact around when there is no basis to use it.
because facts are all over the interwebz.
Sure, so is speculation and plain old BS, and guess which is in the largest quantity.
The problem also is that if you look other people what they were talking about this ban wave you will notice that some people got 72h ban and someone perma ban for same thing? how`s that possible?
Severity of the crime? Repeat offenders?
All I can say is I'm glad Blizzard do this, I don't believe in collateral damage in these cases simply because that is not how it works.
The reason why you did not get banned for lots of farming is probably the fact that you are playing on some low/mid population learn where traffic is low.
You're naive if you really believe a game whose very lifeblood is farming mats and mobs would automate a ban system based on farming activity. You got banned for something else.
Regards to GBTV show.
Potential reason why they were banned as discussed in the show.
PvP interrupt botting
Ban them all to hell!
Duping
I'm guessing selling obviously and buying duped mounts and if thats the case, HA! you bought a friggin 80k mount for 20k not suspect at all, enjoy the ban!
Smooth Ping. (Same IP for multiple people around the country yeah nothing could go wrong here.
Here is where the innocent people were possibly caught, and as said in the show, the ban was instantly overturned from the person they knew who appealed it.
TLDR;
Your FACT, is BS, they constantly say in the show you referenced that the numbers were speculation, they also said they doubted all of the bans were guilty people and possibly as a result of false positives. (Which they suspected Blizzard would overturn on appeal)
From what I can gather from that show, the presenters did think there would be a reason for a person to be banned, but that reason may not have necessarily be botting, more perhaps using something like Smooth Ping. (Which would probably be overturned on appeal)

As with the last poster, i have been around since launch and seen the bad old days of botting and also seen the build of efforts by Blizzard over those years to address the issue. They did perform mass bans in the past and they were targetted against people using particular software/hacks and in all of the posts i have seen about 'collateral' damage, they were exposed time and time again to be users of said software, for those that were big enough to actually admit it in the end.
There was discussion about this on GameBreakerTV you can easily find that episode by simple google it.
So your source is unsubstantiated claims and supposition?
The reason why you did not get banned for lots of farming is probably the fact that you are playing on some low/mid population learn where traffic is low.
Wrong again i am afraid, my main realms are Aggramar and Emerald Dream, both very old mid-high populated realms, sorry.
Logical answer is not always the correct one.
That i will grant you, nut with a lack of any solid or substantial evidence it is usually the case.
The problem also is that if you look other people what they were talking about this ban wave you will notice that some people got 72h ban and someone perma ban for same thing? how`s that possible?
Because there will have been a difference in severity in the infractions, which also bears out the fact that Blizzard don't just do a sweeping ban, they actually put some logic around it, sorta made the point for us really.
inb4 like this is not my first time in fact i never been banned before never got any warning.
So yeah Blizzard make mistakes believe it or not and i am not here to prove anything because facts are all over the interwebz.
Again, i am more than willing to listen to any 'facts' in these cases, but in the many, many years that i have seen posts like these on official and unofficial sites, it usually bears out that the user was at fault in one way or another.

Cba to quote for both of you so i will just write.
@Jkpam you would ban person that bought duped mount GG no point to talk with you.
@shadoed
Facts ok lets start this is from "first hand "
Dude 1 perma banned because insanely herb/ore/cloth farming
Dude 2 perma banned because he trade 50k to other person
These are all IRL friends , now you can believe me or stay stubborn your choice.
I know people that did botted and got perma banned and with 1 ticket they lifted suspension.
They also reduce from perma ban to 72h for pretty much for everything except gold selling.
So with all this things said yeah i am mad because even people that legit botted got their account back and i had to say bb to mine even when i did not botted.
I mean who will bot with main account that is from TBC with all achievements and items i don`t see logic in that but as a proof i have none except my word which is not enough.
I am more bitter how support works now then anything else because in the past 3 years it was awful because you can`t chat with that person anymore , they just copy/past responses.
GM tell me to write to Senior GM then Senior GM tell me to write a ticket its endless loop..
As i said i moved on but i noticed this topic and i wanted to post on it.
Peace

That is what they have told you and you believe them, but the way i look at it is that is you stood back and they were people you did not know at all and they told you they got banned for handing another player 50k gold, what would your response be?
I know people that did botted and got perma banned and with 1 ticket they lifted suspension.

Again, you are sort of making our case here in that Blizzard are willing to give people the benefit of the doubt when it is warranted, they aren't just banning people off the cuff for the fun of it.
So with all this things said yeah i am mad because even people that legit botted got their account back and i had to say bb to mine even when i did not botted.

People do the strangest things, that is a fact of life. Some will have read up on the latest undetectable BOT, use it, get away with it for a while and then Blizzard will find a way to detect it and all of a sudden they are surprised that they got a ban. We have kicked and reported a few guys from our guild over the years as we will not tolerate botting ourselves. Three members have been hacked and used by botters in the past and they all got their accounts back after Blizzard investigated the issues.
I am more bitter how support works now then anything else

That first line i can well believe and i can also understand why you would feel that way, it is a natural reaction.
I have always used a single rule of thumb when it comes to gaming and especially MMO's with add ons and external software and that is "does this give me an advantage in the game in any way" and if it does, i avoid it like the plague and up to now it seems to have served me well.

Yes I would, they facilitate the cheating, same as the guy who buys Gold.
I don't believe for a second anyone who pays so little for such an expensive mount does not question the legality of the transaction.
Nice cop out though, refusing to attempt to rebuke any of my comments.
Edit:- Just to clarify, I wouldn't perma-ban those idiots, but I'd definitely give them some food for thought with a 72 hour suspension.

Boy am I glad there is one less of you in the game with logic like that.
I understand selling an item a little cheaper when you move servers, That does happen, but seriously "bro" don't pretend that you aren't aware that a level 1 toon selling a mount that costs around 80k in mats alone for 20k, is not suspect.
Please don't insult the intelligence of everyone in this thread by suggesting that players who facilitate this type of trade are not deserving of some action on their accounts.
Of course we must be Blizzard Marionettes, I mean look at both of us daring to question your comments with cold hard logic as opposed to the "facts" you present which must be true because you thought you heard some guys on a videocast say them. (You even got that wrong, they didn't say what you claimed they did)
Forgive me if you come off as less than credible.

As 85% of the cheap mounts are duped...yes, it is too good to be true. Standard way of life: If it seems to good to be true, then it is.

...and therein lays the difference. I am not making a personal judgement on you, your friends or anyone else, i am just stating what i know from experience. I don't expect you to agree, in fact that is the whole point of debate, that everyone can state their own opinion and people can take it or leave it, it isn't anything personal, it is just another opinion among many.
As for trust, it is earned, not just handed out on a plate. If i trusted everything i was told i would be sending payments to Nigerian princes left right and centre, paying admin fees for that lottery prize i never entered and believing everything i read in the newspapers and on the internet.......do you?
