"Yea, there are!" Vrak bellowed, "You should ask before kidnapping people! There are some on Azeroth who might have been willing to help you of their own accord! Where do these vampires come from? How hard are they to kill?"

"Yawn," Wilhelm drawled; the greenskin's antics have grown stale the moment the savage opened his mouth. The warlock looked relaxed now, seeing as apparently his services were needed. He just might come out ahead in this situation, if he played his cards right. Still, inwardly he tensed and stood ready to lash out violently at the first sight of an attack.
Meyer picked himself up and now stood with his arms folded behind his back, the hands clasped together just behind his waist.

Eadric the Pure
Grimmwald
Eadric stopped in disbelief, halting where the dreadlord had just been. An arrow hit the ground, most likely released from it's bow when the dreadlord was still there. The stench of death filled the air; and Eadric looked around in horror. Dead guards, comrades - people he had known were lying expressionless, just feet away from where he was standing.
I failed them
. Eadric thought, a tick of conviction burning in his mind.
They must be avenged.
Women were screaming and crying; children only looked on with innocent, but horror-filled faces.
"Eadric! What happened!" came the voice of Adam Billden, a priest of the Church of the Radiant Steps who wore plate armor and carried around a long priestly stave. Eadric and Adam were good friends, being one of the most famous crime-enforcing pairs in all of Grimmwald.
"Demons. One of them claimed to be a member of the legion - say, where were you?" Eadric said, not looking at his friend.
"I was patrolling elsewhere in the city when I heard all this ruckus - got here as fast I could. Only if I had been here sooner..." Adam said, looking at a nearby dead knight.
Eadric put a hand on his friend's shoulder and nodded. "I'd start healing the injured - I need to go tell the Church and Guard about this. Meet me at the cathedral a couple hours from now, I'll talk more about it there." Eadric departed from Adam and made way to the church.

Leaning so far over the railing that he was liable to fall over any second, Irving glared from the pits of his sockets at the orc. "This is not an exact science you pig headed oaf! It was a general casting of the net! I wanted heroes! Not just random idiots! But the best I could do for specifics was grab those who have been surrounded by death!"
Capricia put her hand on Xander's shoulder. "I'm really sorry about all this," she told the druid. "What he's trying to say is that...well...we don't know how we got here, let alone getting back." She shrugged helplessly. "We only actually found out we were in the nether a few weeks ago."

"Are they Nathrezim, the Dreadlords or are they closer to the San'layn, the darkfallen?" Falionna asked and taped her right fingers on the tip of one of her elven shortswords at the side of her hip.

Meyer allowed himself a small smile now that he knew that he had not made a mistake in his ritual - a wrench was thrown into his plans. Still, if this truly were Grimmwald, perhaps he did not need to consult the Augur after all.
He then raised an eyebrow at the mention of Nathrezim and the San'Layn. To think these were discussed so lightly, so casually - it spawned another smile on his pale face.

"Interesting." Richard Grindgear said completely oblivious of the conversation instead was commenting on the machine he stood before his goggles pulled down over his eyes. "Amazing being able to rip open a portal over such a vast distance. It must have taken a considerable amount of power." He said to himself aloud.

Eadric the Pure
Grimmwald
Eadric reached the cathedral and walked inside - he had told the officials of the city about the demon incident and the mess of corpses were being cleaned up. Inside, a long scarlet carpet beset on either side by long wooden rows of benches were lit by marvelous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Candles attached to stone pillars flickered and swayed - and Eadric took a seat on one of the benches waiting for his friend.
Eadric began running the events of the day through his mind - the "I will come back for your soul" comment filling him with anticipation.
Will you now, demon?
He thought to himself.
I'd like to see you try.
The image of the dreadlord filled his head when his friend had entered the cathedral, looking ecstatic.

"Hrnn!" one of the corpse creatures moved between Richard and the machine, covering it with his arms and hands. "No touching! Mashter'sh! Ish mashtersh!"
"Well bully for you!" Irving spat back. "Now are you going to help or not?"

"Leave mashter's mashinesh alone," the hunchbacked creature moaned through flopping lips, held together by little more than thread and a few bolts. He attempted to wave Richard away with hands of mismatching sizes, slumping forward on a clubbed foot.
"Well..." Capricia grimaced a little. "There is a general plan. But...to be honest, until we knew who was coming through or if it would even work! it seemed a little pointless to make anything definite."
"Good!" Irving barked back.

Meyer rolled his eyes. To be hurtled through the fabric of time and space into what very likely constituted a pocket dimension and let oneself be startled by such mundane things as the walking dead spoke much of this another man.
The warlock decided to stay silent until the others had vented their frustration and shared their meaningless thoughts with everyone who did not want to listen. He held his chin up high and bore his unwavering mismatching gaze into Irving.
