Havoc looked lazily towards the dark ranger. He smiled. "If it helps think of me as...the hired gun." A particularly violent flash of electricity between two tesla coils flung the room into a blaze of white life casting him into a shadow. He turned back to the orc. "In good time. Now if you would kindly step over there..."

"That is outside my job description. Shooting you is," he added with lazy cheer. "But not explaining your situation outside of that. If you want explanations, you'll have to wait until he's finished." Havoc inclined his head away form the blade and towards the skinny, black coated figure frantically attacking the control panel attached to the telescope.

Eadric the Pure
Grimmwald, Cathedral District
By now atleast five guards surrounded the wrathguard. "One more chance demon. Succumb to the law or resist arrest!" Eadric yelled. A small assembly of idle-citizens were looking now, with fixed faces of curiosity. Most of them knew Eadric, as he patrolled the city often, and were all whispering to eachother if whether or not he could take the demon on.

"If you insist, Paladin." The Wrathguard rushed forward, body-slamming Eadric while ramming his swords under the Paladin's arms, impaling the guards standing behind him. The demon's face only inches from the human's Crilftah smiled, "Blood is good, yes?"

"Only if it's from a demon!" Replied Eadric, bringing about his massive gladius and swinging it quickly at the demon. As idle chatter shifted to hollering and screaming - more and more guards came rushing to the scene.

The demon withdrew his blades and ducked gracefully underneath Eadric's blow. Crilftah's tail lashed out, skewering another guard, "When the bodies start to pile up, please remember who wanted to avoid this fight, paladin. You can still fall back."

Xander Greyfang
Grimmwald, Mortorous Castle
"Can you all shut up for a bit?" Xander inquired, rubbing his temples. His head clearing, he slowly took in his sorroundings, noticing the woman that had seemingly dragged him away from the open roof. His interest was peaked as his gaze was drawn up her form, and then seemingly flat-lined quite suddenly upon setting eyes on her clearly undead face.
"Where in Elune's name are we?" He asked, holding his nose to stop the flow of blood.
Meline Vargas
Grimmwald Plains, Forest Edge
Meline panted, doing he best to keep up with the unseen threat. She couldn't remember the last time she had become tired in battle. Every blow she made seemed fruitless, in constrast to herself being whittled down little by little.
The rain offered her hope though, as it began to slow and grow quieter; the storm lessening and looking like it might end soon enough. Then maybe she could see what her foe was like, and finally make progress against it.

"What the fel?" Richard groaned as he pushed himself up off the concrete floor before reaching up with his hands and pushed up his goggles. He brushed off the dirt on his long coat before reaching down and making sure his tool pouches where still on his belt as he looked around. "Dam it." He swore reaching out and grabbing the small machine he had been working on now destroyed by the impact of landing. He started to reach out around him picking up small pieces of metal that had landed with him and tried putting his invention back together.

Character
: Dr. Harold Streiss, Morgan
Location
: Grimmwald, Mortorus Castle
"I'm no mage," Morgan began, the gears obviously grinding away in his brain. "But I imagine that would take tremendous amounts of energy and very finite calculations, no?"
"Finite? Hardly," Streiss replied with a shrug, waving his hand at a pile of papers on the desk. Series of numbers and operations ran across them. "All we want is to reach the general vicinity of Gilneas. Whether or not something else is there is... irrelevant."
Morgan's face cracked into a truly amused smile. "... I could help you with this."
A few minutes later Streiss and Morgan, now free from his shackles and once again with his hood drawn over his face, entered the laboratory. It was obvious that the machine was still running. Bursts of lightning flickered across the room, blinding both momentarily. "Truly a remarkable achievement," Morgan said in a tone of grudging respect. "I must admit I cannot fathom how one would dream up a machine such as this, but I cannot deny its effectiveness."
"Once you get acquainted with the lord of this castle, you'll understand," Streiss said darkly.
"Oh?" Morgan asked, his voice implying mild interest. "What of him?"
"Words cannot describe, I'm afraid. I merely act as a... sounding board, if you will. I can aid in the optimization and implementation of his mad ideas, but all the true genius resides in him. Wait until the end of the experiment, and you will see."

Character
: Wilhelm Meyer
Location
: Elwynn Forest, Meyer's Tower → Grimmwald, Mortorus Castle
Solitude was a rather unwelcome change - over his years of practicing, Wilhelm Meyer had grown rather used to having a faithful minion around. It did not matter whether it was the solemn looming of Zag'Gorg, his voidwalker, or the incessant sarcastic chirrup of Tarnik the imp; all of his regulars have proven to be reliable, invaluable assets. That they still were daemons and he a warlock only used to add a pleasant thrill to his life.
Yet what was about to take place in the underground chamber of Meyer's tower required him to take up the task entirely on his own, and even to dismiss his coterie so that no daemon could be found in the tower's immediate vicinity. The Augur of Castigare had a reputation of a fickle, capricious, vain being, and might not only refuse to yield his knowledge, but also to lay waste to the summoning circle merely out of spite, thus wasting weeks of preparation and hundreds of gold sovereigns.
The warlock closed his mismatching eyes momentarily, extending his feelings to the world around him. Though he had personally removed daemonic presences prior to the ritual, it would not hurt to check it one last time. Smiling wryly to his own thoughts, he spread his arms to the sides and threw his head back, staring into the domed ceiling. In his right hand he held an iridescent pearl the size of a chicken egg; in his left, a knurled orc heart. A jolt of energy escaped his fingertips and the heart began beating once more. The old shaman had died hard and slow; tracking her and bringing her down was no mean feat in and of itself; doing so without raising so much as an iota of suspicion, a work of art. Her collection of totems and fetishes and her journals - ranging from a scrimshawed bristleback scapula to a weighty leather-bound tome - alone would have made the venture worth the effort spent, and yet they were but a part of a whole, a stepping stone to a much, much greater plan. Still, the warlock reminded himself to thank his SI:7 liaison once again after the whole sordid affair with the Augur was over.
Meyer took one last deep breath, then began chanting, his voice loud and clear, echoing against the cold stone walls.
"Pustulant jewel! Covenant of void and lunacy! Breach the veil of ignorance and reap the fruit of insight! Mourning tree of wisdom! Fume and frown, flicker and fester! Sephinraeum, I summon thee! Sephinraeum, Beholder of Madness, I call thee by thy name! Sephinraeum, the Augur of Castigare, I bid thee come forth!"
With the last cry of the incantation, Meyer slammed his hands together. The beating heart and the glowing pearl vanished in a coruscation of brilliant red light that blossomed from the man's palms and soared upward.
That was when the ritual went off the rails. The scarlet illumination grew purple, and a viscous mist enveloped an astonished, bewildered Meyer. He barely managed to muse dejectedly that he must have made a slight mistake before the world grew dark and he felt something yank him off his feet.

Hexic's eyes opened blearily as he woke from his meditation. Expecting to see his flat in Ironforge, Hexic was taken aback to find that he was no longer in the Dwarven city. He appeared to be in a castle with an Orc and a forsaken from what he could see, along with four other mysterious figures. Standing and rubbing his eyes, the death knight
"Well this is a merry band of people," the death knight remarked, "Although I notice that we all have our weapons. And you haven't even put us in chains. Crazy kidnappers, but hey, I'm not complaining."

Eadric the Pure
Grimmwald
"Get him!" Eadric yelled, running past his hammer towards the demon. But townsfolk and even guards were very hesitant to take on a large, multi-armed demon covered in blood. Eadric revolted at their cowardice but kept sprinting towards the wrathguard. "Justice never sleeps! You cannot avoid me!"
