Character:
Irving Mortorus, Capricia Mortorus, R. B. Havoc
Location:
Grimmwald, Mortorus Castle
"The Mortorus family dislike leaning too heavily on Necromancy," Capricia informed the dark elf, knitting her fingers together and leaning back in her chair. "Such magic is usually the realm of Dalaran drop outs, cults, and the like."
"Eh? Oh!" Irving strode towards the dwarf, casting his eye and waving a hand over the network of machinery and cables feeding into the telescope. "Maybe a few years ago, the Order of the Blue Moon realized we were in the nether, and when I heard about it I made a theory. The underlying principle is that though we are technically separated from Azeroth, the land itself is still connected. We don't seem to be just free floating, rather than entrapped by a spell. The calculation of a portal I left to Dr.Streiss, I made the machine with enough to power to force a way past the barrier, then grab those on the other side."

The warlock sniffed the dirt, then took a pinch and rubbed it tentatively between his index finger and his thumb. He was sending jolts of fel into the grains to see how the mud would react, yet not enough for any visible discharge of energy to occur. Better the rest think of him as a raving lunatic than come out as a warlock from the get go.
Character
: Hector Ulysses Balogh
Location
: Grimmwald, House Balogh
"Forty years..."
Hector stared into the ornate mirror; the face that gazed back at him he loathed immensely for refusing to show any signs of aging. That it had just enough similarities with his beloved uncle lord Nicol - the thin lips curved into a snarl, the beady black eyes burning with malice - only added insult to injury.
The Fourth Seat of the Shrouded Council stood out even in the crowd of his twice-born kin. Just shy of six feet - and a couple inches on top of that, courtesy of a tar black mohawk that left the sides of his pallid white scalp shaven - and heavily muscled, Hector was wearing loose pants tucked into ankle-high heavy boots and an unbuttoned silk shirt with the sleeves rolled up to just above the elbow. A long strip of cloth was wrapped tightly around his midsection up to the chest; similar bandages covered his hands and forearms. A simple leather cord was hanging off of his neck, and on it rested a silver pendant - two uneven intersecting crescents.
The heir to house Balogh blinked - and then headbutted the mirror ferociously. With a loud crash, slivers of glass came down in a brilliant cascade. Hector stood panting heavily with his head leaned against the wall, dark and thick blood oozing slowly down his face.
Something had to happen. Something needed to change. Forty years of languishing in this bleeding stump of a world had left them complacent. Hector had been trying to if not grow stronger, than at least stay fit - but he could feel lethargy crawling up on him. On all of them, really; some might have already given up and let themselves simply float along.
The Fourth Seat knew not how to even begin to solve the problem - but he knew for sure how to make himself forget, if only for a little while. Thirst thrummed in his temples. He hungered and he would sate his need for violence and the sweet, sweet red liquor.
In one leap Hector crossed the room, throwing open a wide window. He threw his head back and let out a long ululating howl, then vaulted into the night.

"Assuming those weapons are not jsut for show," he said with a gesture to demonstrate his meaning, "I was wondering, 'might a fine woman like her not want to use them to greatest effect?'" Havoc grinned showing his white teeth. "So I thought I would ask if you would want to maybe join me in my bodyguard duties?" He swept an arm towards the halls. "The accommodations are much nicer, I promise."

Velnessia raised a eyebrow. "Ohh, not to shabby of you." She complimented the blonde.
The elven eyes glowing fith fel narrowed just a milimeter as the human sniffed fel into the dirt. The elven sensitivity of magic was not as great as a dragon, but it allowed her to fell the demonic magic used.

With a grin Havoc pressed the tips of his fingers together. "Hm...Wonderful. Perhaps we can discuss the specifics of your pay then..."
Capricia instinctively touched one of the scars marring her face. "Ah...yes. That...An unfortunate accident near the edge of the woods, I'm afraid."

Pressing a hand against his heart, Havoc contrived to look like a wounded puppy. "Wouldn't dream of it. Dansha, as part of the bodyguard detail you will be paid according to your skill. That is," he added, glancing at her weapons, "depending on how good you are with those."

"Alwayz a pleazure," the construct intoned, glass lens shining in the light of the torch as he watched the youth leave. The flesh of his face, stretched taut as a fiddle string, tried to lower itself in a glower.
Havoc passed a hand before his lips. "Well, that is reassuring." He made a gesture of his head towards the second dwarf. "And your...sister?"
