Me and my old guild were some newly dinged lv 80. We first wiped early at Anub´Rekhan because tanking problems. But when we wiped. The crypt guard did not despawn. So we engaged Anub´rekhan on normal with a crypt guard from start. Everything went fine until tank died and we got him on

That was not fun but we got him down and cleared Naxx just some weeks after.

Our guild do that with 3 80s only. the rest are 77-79. And we 1 shot him without any problem

Not from WoW, but even more dramatic: The optional last boss of Star Ocean 2, a PSX game, has about 50 million hit points on the hardest difficulty level. Since like most old-school RPGs there is a 10k damage cap, obviously killing this boss takes quite a while. I spent 10 hours on the boss over the course of a week, and used several hundred consumables during the encounter (in this game, the use of a consumable does not take a turn, but it is on a cooldown shared by the entire party).
I finally wiped after getting the boss down to 10k.
Did you ever play Grandia on PS1 that took the *!@# a little too.

This happend to me, especially sad after you consider that it turned into only ranged DPS and 1 tank killing him... And still got to 1%. Then died. He actually had 17 health left after DOTs.
