Blue Fields
; soothing, calm, and will always keep you relaxed...even as monsters from the Moon try to eat your face.

Neg - see
Breezy
- something about chilling on the beach in a small breezy town. That, and Zanarkand. I don't find it sad.
As for sadness, I think
The Great Warrior
from FF7 works for me. Bonus if you know the story behind it.
For Calmness, I'd also like to add
Andy McKee - Heather's Song
. Nothing like some relaxed, chill-out acoustic guitar music.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Squishalot##DELIM##

Dream of a Shore Near Another World from Chrono Cross (Calmness)
never played the game myself, but its soundtrack is amazing.

Day #4: Joy.
What music makes you feel a sense of joy, happiness, etc.?
I'll post songs sometime later today, can't quite remember the names of a few.

Perfect Day
; always makes me bounce and head bang.
Rockin Radio
; they don't play rap or techno, but rock music and metal! Come on now, that is just awesome.
20 minutes of pure awesome Zelda music.
Nothing more needs to be said.
YOU ARE A PIRATE!
Sung by the ultimate pirate metal band.
Rasputin, the Viking Metal version
; another toe tapping great beat song.
It makes me bounce, giggle and laugh
....and creeps the $%^& out of everyone around me when I do that.

This
is easily my favorite. Any swing or big band really gets me going, but this is easily my favorite.

I have a playlist of some really chill music
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA3n7t6pPDeQKilrE4GC2GHh2Y5_vjOwB
I generally listen to it when im having a bad day, angry, or just really need to relax.
I think that's the closest thing to 'joy' I can get.

Final Fantasy - Chocobo Themes
Imagine how fun it would be to ride on one of those things. The music itself is pretty bouncy and joyful.
Mario Kart 64 - Day's End
You won! Here's some awesome music for that!

Day #5: Do you have a "Get up and get ready" playlist? What music is on it?
If you don't? What would be your playlist?

Daft Pumk's
Discovery
album, nearly every morning. The perfect combination of morning calm and pre-coffee motivation.

Final Fantasy VIII - The Landing
First song, to get the blood pumping
Super Mario 64 - Slide Theme
Frantic pacing to encourage getting my ass in gear
Final Fantasy XII - Victory Theme
I guess this would be to wind down.
I don't actually have a playlist but I suppose that would be something I'd do. I don't really take too long in getting ready.

One of the few video game tracks I listen to is one of
my preparation songs
. It has a good beat and says "wake up," so it counts.

Day #6: Despair.
What music instills a sense hopelessness? Impending doom? What music do you hear when all is lost?

Three pages.
Afraid of Monsters also had some good ones, notably
Sickness2
and
4motherkill.wav
I think the common theme that works the best in these is a constant, dark pulsing sound. Combining it with static/distortion of any sort really lends a feel of darkness and "oh crap."
