Arcane is Low Threat
Tired of getting aggro from your tank? With Arcane, this will almost always never happen. Arcane has the highest threat reduction modifier of
ANY
class, allowing you to be more liberal when doing damage
Dunno if someone mentioned this, haven't slogged through every single page yet. Shadow Priests have two separate threat reduction talents... I don't know how they stack together, but they might beat out the Arcane threat reduction... (30% + 25%)
Hmmm .... true. Looks like I wasn't up to date on the Shadowform changes. :)

The choice is up to you, of course, but IMHO, you won't get very many chance to cast AB, making the 3 point investment a bit of a waste.

Nothing new in the latest build, but a change to the MI Glyph which is frankly, confusing. Does it mean scorch & WC is staying 10%?
On the PTR I have some of my older gear, Pretty much all epics, but it also has a total of 550-570 spirit.
With this gear on live, with my 80% MP5 while casting, I can get roughly 455 MP5 while casting.
With this gear on the PTR, with 100% MP5 while casting, I can get roughly 260 MP5 while casting.
This makes a large amount of downtime (>20-30 seconds) waiting on the second Evocation cooldown. While 20-30 seconds might seem low, imagine this during kel'Thuzad.
This means that mages without this level of spirit (resulting in much lower mp5) will run dry faster then myself, forcing CDs sooner, forcing more down time. I suspect around 35-40 seconds. this would obviously drastically reduce DPS.
To be honest though, not all Arcane Mages raid with Mage Armor, and in most cases, raiding with Molten Armor will increase your DPS.
It's a nerf (though one I still believe will be addressed with a change to Mage Armor glyph), but it's not really that big a deal.

Nickseng i'm convinced you will say anything to argue against me. If you don't think more down time in the middle of a boss is a big nerf, then maybe removing the mages ability to equip anything is a small nerf to? DPS can't exist without mana, remember? that little blue bar?
Yes, because I have nothing better to do that that. :)
And currently, mages don't have any issues to the blue bar even by equipping Molten Armor. Mage Armor is ONLY helpful if you run out of mana otherwise, or if you're really gimped composition wise.
Why do you think Blizz is nerfing spirit regen. It's because there's next to no issues with mana. Hence, more mana != more damage.
If you're running out of mana in a fight without Mage Armor, I'd suggest you look at your rotation and your gearing. I've heard multiple times that you stick to one rotation, and you gear for spirit. Is it that hard to conceive that that's where and what you're doing wrong?
ETA: I'm hardly the first poster to argue that Arcane Mages don't run with Mage Armor, yet you still pick on my post to debate on. Good for you.
