I used to, but I don't anymore. I just don't have any use for them, all the games I have right now are more than enough for me. Besides, my computer is too slow to run most new games (as I discovered when I tried to play GTA IV on it :| ).
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Yes, and I thought it would be obvious I use it to download games lol.
Not at all, only wow and lol.
I use Steam. The digital download is just really convenient. Rather pre-order my game, come home from work, download and install. Beat standing in line at GameStop or other stores. Can also download some game's files (Darksiders II) before the actual release day and it will be just about ready to play on the day.
I have steam, although I use it very rarely. Purchased one game on it, Portal, and have a few others wait listed. I just don't have time for much game time.Just in case you consider Netflix as an acceptable alternative (although it's movies/shows instead of games) I do multitask and watch shows while reading over homework notes and working on crafts. And on a secondary note, I'm very happy that your site is back up. Wootage!
Whether I get the kitten or not, I know, depends on my comment. With that in mind, I still have to say honestly, I never heard of Steam until just now, but am willing to try it if it gives good games. But know this, that my main game is WoW, and my game guide is WoWhead.
Nothing but WoW for me :)
I use Steam. Also I am a confirmed beta tester and backer of GMOD service which is in development. Should that go through it may end up being more useful that CURSE is presently.
I do use Steam, as well as Gamefly and Origin. The main attractions for me are finding older PC games being re-released or new/indie games at cheap, downloadable prices (yay weekly sales). Origin has the worst sales. Gamefly has the best weekly sales. Steam has the best holiday/blowout sales as well as the best selection. I really hate Gamefly and their download program Comrade, but they do have some cheap games sometimes. I like the way Origin categorizes your games best and shows you all the DLC available/owned for each game easily. However Steam is still the most diverse, includes solid chat/friend features and does a good job tracking your purchases and keeping them up to date.
Yes, I use Steam because it is easier to keep track of the games I own
I use Steam and use it because certain of my games require me to do so. I use no other such media.
I currently play WoW exclusively as MMOs. My only other gaming time is spent on a console (PS2). Steam seems like a convenient way to distribute and market digital content. The nearly instant access to a wide range of non-console specific games would greatly open my experiences to not only different RPGs, but different genres as well. I might have to leave my console in the box from now on...Steam might end up with another customer.
My bf uses Steam but mostly I only play WoW. So...no, not a user at the moment. Would if I ever got the time to play some of their games but not now.
Not personally. I've always wanted to try them out, just never had the time or the money!
