I've downloaded steam, but I rarely use it as I enjoy WoW too much and between that and Uni I rarely have much time for anything else.

I use Steam whenever I go to buy games, being on a tight budget means little money to spend on video games. So Steam Sales can mean I can continue my hobby without breaking the bank, which is very important.
I use Steam, and sadly Origin, oh and sadly Ubisoft's launcher/downloader.Started with Steam back in the olden days, when Counter-Strike moved from the old Valve servers to the Steam platform, so they required you to make an account to play Counter-Strike 1.6, so I did, and since they kept adding more of their games, and in the end 3rd party games. So it made all the sense to keep using the platform as when fun games came around (and since the prices were USD back then, not EUR like now) I would buy the game online and play it within hours! Not to mention you avoided those 4 CD or 2 DVD installations that took ages.Anyway, I said "sadly" above because Battlefield 3 and some other games I own require Origin to launch, and having multiple content systems gets annoying, and I hate the notion that in the future, as apps, we might end up with hundreds of different delivery systems requiring you to use their system to play their game. I prefer either no systems and only separate installers, or a unified one where I can have all my games.Ubisoft also tries to enter this market by having their launcher/downloader thingy, sadly it has slow speeds, usually, and is quite unnecessary. They should just bundle up with what already exists and is popular.
No. I downloaded Steam over a year ago, but I haven't used it once. Not really interested.
I have only used Steam once, but I think its a great way to distribute games.
The only time I've ever used Steam was when they had Portal as a free download for a while. Other than that, I haven't used it, and have no plans to use it in the future (unless I hear Portal 2 goes up for free).
Steam is an awesome way to stay organized with games, i use it all the time.
I use the Steam: for playing, L4D, BF:BC2, some indie games,
I frequently use steam. Great hub for friends to play more competitive games such as Dota 2 or Chivalry. Steam also has a nice variety of inexpensive indie games good for killing time before work/class such as The Binding of Isaac etc.Cheers
I use steam, got like 30 games on there, cod etc its so good :)
I use steam because it's convenient. I don't play a lot of games on steam, but I like having them available and also being able to talk to other friends with ease.
I use Steam pretty regularly, mostly for games I wouldn't pick up normally in stores. Their sales are wonderful for trying out new genres~
Steam is my number 1 source of games, its fast, safe and easy. Also got all the Blizzard games online.
I use steam but only because of Civ 5. Other than that I don't typically use that type of client (no specific reason other than the games I play don't require it).
I use Steam, mainly because they have a pretty reasonable back catalogue of classic games that run properly on Windows. Recently I've been playing Commander Keen, the Secret of Monkey Island, Doom II, Fallout and Wolfenstein 3D haha.
I use both Steam and Origin, mainly because there's no point in having physical copies of games anymore. I love the sales they have as well, I'll typically wait to buy games till they've been out for a while just because I already have a library of games waiting to be played plus I can generally get GOTY editions for super cheap.
I use Steam on occasion for playing Dead Island, but other than that, I only play World of Warcraft.
I use steam because I can access some of my old games for free as well as some of the new ones such as DOTA 2
